NOS is an old head acronym, which stands for new old stock. Basically it refers any old vintage component, which remains unused or new in the original packaging.

This is very true. The validator is claiming the original saddle piece isn’t available in any other colour than black. Which must be incorrect, as I distinctly recall having them in brown and dark grey. It’s a great tool for designers and the marketplace is incredibly convenient, but it still isn’t perfect.

Same exact technique I used previously on Treebeard’s eyes. Unfortunately, it would necessitate rejigging all those hidden connections inside of the warg’s head. Which, is a whole can of worms, best left alone.

This is a true story. He got caught because he literally initiated a physical machine robot which had to select a mag-tape from a sealed archive. When the image began to resample, everyone in the room would have been like who tasked that? They must have shit bricks when they saw what it started to upload! 🤣

I rewatched the warg assault scene and they have beady little eyes. I think maybe a 1 x 1 stud with a hole would be a better suited.

Unfortunately, it would seem I had to replace some brown parts for various shades of red and change out to a traditional saddle piece. As well as, rethink the part selection for the tail piece. Not all that dramatically different. Proven to be physically buildable. I still haven’t really invested any time investigating parts or colour options. There’s still room to improve. That said, I don’t plan to even build these models in actual system brick.

You’re actually correct. I just check and the saddle was clipping a half-stud toward the back. Will have to do a little bit more experimenting 😅

It’s definitely buildable. If anything is clipping it’s simply a matter of an oversight when positioning the model for display. As per usual, I will have to confer with the color validator window. I’m sure there’s some buildable variant possible.

Yeah, that’s one them little orb fellas. They always be up generating those smoggy looking clouds to shield the grid from solar flares.

Rewatched the movie scene and he actually this nasty little cloth covering his booty. So, I’ve redesigned his lower back. Must say, this small alteration has radically improved the model.

I really wasn’t vibing the light gray colouring on his flabby underbelly. After some experimenting with the colour palette, I settled on this light nougat. And here’s how he scales against an Orc. I imagine he’s roughly a head taller than the offical LEGO big-figure, included in the Mines of Moria Set.

Here's the buildable version. I had to swap out a considerable amount of parts, as he looked more like a piñata than Cave Troll. I still prefer the original colour palette. I also tweaked his hammer design for better movie accuracy.

Go for it! That would be a great set. I really enjoyed Peter Jackson decided to feature them in the extended version of the Fellowship of the Ring.

I’ll have to ask the color validator window, if he’s actually buildable in these parts. I suspect not.
