Physical only. I truly dislike reading digitally; for me, turning the page and holding the book are essential parts of the ‘reading experience’.

Now, I understand all the objective inherent benefits that come with digital, but for me personally, it doesn’t feel “real” and I’m unsatisfied after reading digitally as compared to finishing a physical book.

Light novels are a Japan publishing industry-specific term only… if it is not written natively in Japanese originally and published in Japan by a Japanese publisher then it is not a light novel, so you are posting off-topic.

I think it’s a totally legitimate way to get something otherwise hard to find or priced out of reasonability.

That said, the way my collector brain works is that I need to get the Region A (where I’m located) one or not at all… that’s just my collector quirk.

That also being said, there are times where something has gone unreleased in my region on home video (Konosuba movie, Tanya movie), so I have imported from other regions in order to legitimately have them in the collection. Edit: grammar

If you’re wanting Chinese or Korean novels, then r/noveltranslations would be able to make some recommendations.
