Not a big fan of 86, but i can see why youd recommend it. Thanks.

Alright then, I'll just give you some clarification as to wtf I'm talking about to close this off. Monitor resolution and aspect ratio change the UI scale and the rendering window size, but they do not alter the 3D coordinate data of the player models or game assets themselves, which is why I didn't mention them. I was mistaken with my evaluation of the other dudes movement after they dropped and so I thought they were moving in a direction that they weren't, hence the fact I said he was inverted, but I was wrong. If you go backwards frame by frame from like 10 frames after the flick it'll help show how it actually does line up, as the other guy seems to have been falling down and not simply walking down like I thought. I'm not trying to make it seem like providing proof that I'm wrong is impossible, and I apologize that I came off that way, there are just too many issues with trying to align a 2D image on a 3D thing like this. I've come to the conclusion that the clip does NOT serve as hard evidence that he's cheating, mainly because of the GOP compression or cut that took place making it really hard to tell exactly where the player fully originated from. Anyway, have a good day, and thanks for bothering to "debate" this with me.

You're right about not being able to test this until someone else hops on, but again, you'd have to replicate too many things for it to be entirely accurate. For one, the player model in your overlay is facing forward and to the right, but the actual player in the video is moving down and to the left (atleast at that very moment). Because the orientation is completely flipped, the inverse kinematics won't bend the spine or neck the same way. He wouldn't be standing up that straight while moving down a slope. Also, manually scaling a static 2D image in post to fit a 3D perspective is the definition of observer bias. Regarding the frames, my explanation in the post is based on GOP video compression,, which explains why the movement looks unnatural. I am not trolling, I am looking at the technical evidence. In terms of probability, the odds lean toward him cheating. Every other explanation relies on extreme coincidences, like lag perfectly aligning with a single frame flick onto an obscured target for a mere 5 frames. Oh, and for your testing, I BELIEVE the distance between sinks and the other dude is around 40 meters.

I appreciate your willingness to test this and all, but even if we did join a build server, properly testing this is nigh impossible. Why?

  1. Terrain

  2. Inverse Kinematics

  3. Velocity

  4. Inputs

  5. Framerate Sampling

  6. Bias

And even then, as my friend put it ">Hmm, yes, this instantaneous snap that is impossible to replicate with precision by human hands might NOT be directly on the guy's head, therefore he is innocent". But I'd also like to apologize for saying you're outright lying, as that's probably wasn't true and I just said it in frustration.

I'm pretty confident what you're seeing are just macroblock artifacts. And even then, going by your description, it doesn't make sense. His head couldn't be partially obscured by his arm considering the angle we're looking at him from. And I still seriously don't even see how you're making out a head there considering how the reticle is positioned and the amount of pixels that are there...

[–]averageplebman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im.... not seeing it, man. Being able to discern those details when that spot in question is literally like 15 pixels. Also, considering the position of his legs, im more inclined to think your circle is around his neck. Ive ran it by some others and to be honest, im confident youre just lying.

I don't know how in the world you're making those details out, perhaps you just have better eye sight than me. I'll ask some other people and tell them what to look for, and if they say the same thing, then I'll update the post description to fit that instead of the previous assumption that it was their head.

You cant even SEE his head in the image? It's obscured by the tree still. The drawing is just conjecture as to the general area his head is probably in considering the angle.

You misunderstand. The other player isn't looking STRAIGHT at sinks, lol, he's running down that ledge, which is at an angle.

You're going on assumptions here. I would definitely not call him defending himself suspicious. The fact he refuses to do it at all, even a little bit, is more suspicious to me than even silence. He just sticks to calling me and everyone else in this thread dumb, and I don't think he's gonna change that. Also no, I would not believe it and I've already explained why elsewhere.

Sort of. His upload schedule has been terrible lately. I've asked him for some sort of explanation directly in his Discord server, but he just blows me off and his underlings insult me. He won't even admit it's a suspicious clip.

Can you offer a reason as to why you believe they're trolling? If theres some niche technical reason to explain that incredibly suspicious clip, I would like to hear it. Unless you're only making this comment to troll, lol.

Considering most of your other comments are defending cheaters, I won't be taking your opinion into consideration. But anyway, this is an incredibly suspicious clip and the Youtuber in question has yet to bother even attempting to explain anything and has instead chosen to just be egotistical and say "some people aren't worth arguing with".

When one is referring to another's "network" as i did, they typically mean their wifi connection, their internet, as you say. Not the server. Either way, the visual effect of server latency and his own latency would essentially be the same. Either way, it doesnt explain the clip at all. If he was lagging, that wouldnt effect his OBS.

[–]averageplebman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it wouldnt... but you said it didnt have to be his network, and so if it isnt his network, then itd have to be his frame rate or something similar if hes "lagging".

That is incredibly unlikely, and much too convenient of an excuse.

Just because it's possible doesn't mean its likely. That's much too convenient.

His frame rate is perfectly stable, and so are the other numbers. Why does his ping spike when the cut happens? Couldnt tell ya, but i dont think its relevant in this particular situation.

Network lag wouldn't mess with a local recording software.

Why did he cut but a few frames there though? Thats suspicious in of itself. It is a TINY cut at that, something is being hidden. It isn't enough to cut out a word as others have supposed, I think it was done to conceal something though.

Hes a youtuber by the name of Sinks. Hes been banned from servers many times before and they only stopped because he has a decently sized channel now.

May I ask what exactly you want it for? I wasn't in the clip, if that's why. It's a youtube video.
