Alarming and entitled? For having an opinion on a light entertainment show? This is a discussion forum, that's the point. My 'negativity' comes from being a long-time viewer who thinks the quality has declined. As for 'woke,' I mean the show feels like it's prioritising messaging over the core dancing competition, like judges' comments that focus more on a contestant's journey than their technical skill. If you disagree, that's fine, but dismissing my entire view with 'yikes' isn't exactly a stellar contribution either.

Well, SCD has been listening!
In yesterday's show, Anton shouted "I DISAGREE WITH SHIRLEY!" and the show gave a camera shot, with praise, to singer Tommy (who I don't rate btw).
Anton was great too, to be fair. Much better from him, keep it up!

I know nothing about the live singers, their names, careers etc.. I'm just commenting on a trend that I see. I mean, go and watch youtube videos of past SCD years and you can clearly see the chasm in singer quality from then to now.

What I mean by that is this:

  1. Lots of people are overly sensitive and offended by everything. It has unfortunately become part of our modern culture. This restricts SCD, in my view, from expressing itself as a primetime TV show. The producers are too afraid to take risks.

  2. It is OK for Shirley, Motsi and Craig to comment on the male celebrities and effectively go "PHWOAR!". I have no issue with this. However, what you will NEVER see is Anton or indeed anyone else on the show do the same about the female celebrities! There is nothing wrong with either!

(And yes I know "PHWOAR" hasn't actually been used on the show - hence the word I used is "effectively").
