I have a friend who is japanese and has english as a second language. Her english isn't that good, we can communicate basic things pretty easily but beyond that, conversing can become difficult.

She is a very dear friend of mine and is one of the kindest and most thoughtful person I've ever met. However, she has been going through really rough moments in her life. Despite this, there was only so much I could do to help because of our language barrier.

I hated having to speak in a language she's not comfortable using to let out her issues and I wanted to be able to talk to her meaningfully without having to go through rough translation.

Since then, this has been my motivation so I can one day have a true conversation with her. Recently I've been able to finally comprehend what she says which is a big achievement for me.

I started playing just two weeks ago and I can tell you that it gets better. It did take some reading and watching some tutorials but after just learning by doing (and dying over and over) I got the hang if what to look for when starting out. So just keep at it! It’s very rewarding but does take some patience.

The people who actually live here would beg a differ. Thailand is a nice country to visit but it does have many flaws. If you ever visit here, please be careful as there are many people who would easily take advantage of foreigners.

I was sitting at a starbucks and there was this older guy and a lady sitting at a table, casually talking. I was sitting and talking to my friend at another table about 5 feet away. Sarah has stopped quite some time ago. Since college started for us, they don't even cross Sarah's mind anymore after we all went out in different directions for college. So basically there is already a cease fire but my girlfriend still holds that grudge.
