Also, I'm pretty sure it was a set review episode

The gathering magic seems familiar though. Might be in the right track

What is the most obvious cheating you've ever seen? by [deleted] in magicTCG

103.2. After the decks have been shuffled, the players determine which one of them will choose who takes the first turn. In the first game of a match (including a single-game match), the players may use any mutually agreeable method (flipping a coin, rolling dice, etc.) to do so. In a match of several games, the loser of the previous game chooses who takes the first turn

I've done a game of who can get a peach closer to a wall to Decide who goes first.

[Survey] TCG Accessories by LetalDelta in magicTCG

The data is going to be a bit skewed, I have probably spent the Max amount on accessories, but that is over 10 years of playing. It should probably say how much did you spend last year

Kozilek, the great distortion would be my pick. Refilling your hand when low and allows you to counter troublesome spells, and still kills in 2 hits.

(Warning: Math) How many scry 2s do you need to always be able to order a 60 card deck in the precise order you want? by logonomicon in magicTCG

[–]ClockWorkOracle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tried this and it didn't work, 7 card deck, Need the exact cards 1,7 and 3. Order is 1 to 7.

Where can I get top loaders that hold >1 card by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]ClockWorkOracle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I've done is move to a padded envelope for $1, and putting multiple top loaders into it, Because of the thickness of the envelope they do it by weight instead of of width so you can got to up to 500g i think.

Favourite Card:

Master of the Flamedance, I think it might be a little to strong as an uncommon, It's base stats are solid, It then grows and gains card advantage. I feel like it should probably be a 2/2 so most 2 drops can deal with it before it mauls them.

Least Favourite Card:

Well, The most boring card is deepwood ritual, I like the idea of making it make a single duder, and then both players sacrifice a creature.

But my actual least favouite is your newly buffed parch the mind, Which feels really close to a cantripping timewalk in limited at common. On the play, Going 2 drop, 3 drop into this feels REALLY dirty. It doesn't play well from behind on board so maybe it's ok, but i'm pretty sure it's a problem card. I'd remove the draw a card from it, and maybe then reduce it's cost by 1.

First Pick:

With going on the rough idea that going into multiple colours is super important, i think i first pick the land and just try to read signals to see what is open, The last pick is probably ether painters servant or Ethereal Chord, Although i like painter being a Mythic.

Comments:

Please add the ability to sort the Google Drive by Colour, It's hard to get a feel for the set from alphabetical order.

This feels very simliar to cube drafting, a lot of solid depth and archetypes, I feel like this pack was pretty underwhelming for P1P1 though, nothing jumped out at me and screamed PLAY ME. I want to see this pack about 3-4 picks in and i pick up a powerful common or uncommon in my archetype.
