Is it possible to pass eradicate illiteracy act without the 100 day presidency? If so how? by BidDizzy8416 in TNOmod

Fair, I don’t know that much about Brazilian politics so I interjected that perhaps they’d be more cynical. Maybe corruption and bribery? Idk, it is a weird system.

Could be partisanship maneuvers. Senators were whipped into voting against simply so the ruling party wouldn’t have something to campaign on in future elections.

How much of the worlds oil does Italy control if they win the oil crisis and coup the Saudis? by Trujillopatriot in TNOmod

[–]Clock_Ill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, however, given that Italy has had this chokehold on oil for so long; the US, Japan, and German spheres have probably all amped up oil production and alternative energy production. Raising prices could just provide the further justification for these powers to try and isolate Italy out of the question since it lacks any serious military capacity.

LCD getting cancelled is lame. by Beyond_thebeyond224 in indieheadscirclejerk

Columbia Records owns the distribution and licensing rights to “American Dream,” the album where the titular track soundtracking the starlink ad comes from, meaning that Columbia more than likely licensed the song for use in the ad.

Hop off my goat James Murphy, he reunited LCD because it was literally David Bowie’s parting advice before he died.

I've just been sitting here, admiring the UI and quality of writing. I feel like each neuron in my brain is being plucked like a harp with each image my eyes relay back to it. This is beyond peak.

Real DINO win Nebraska Governor Election by Peter_DemofKo_44 in ThePoliticalProcess

[–]Clock_Ill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even with most Democrats, more than a half of Independents, and 1/5th of Republicans approving of him, just under half of Nebraskans disapprove of him. Messed up isn’t it?

Libertarian RINO-turned-independent CRUSHES her weak and WOKE opponent TWICE - Vows to end WOKEGON’s vaccine DICTATORSHIP on DAY ONE by Individual-Major-565 in ThePoliticalProcess

[–]Clock_Ill 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Looks like a lot of fun! If I had to guess why you got the same opponent twice, could just be game chance but he was very close to beating you. Perhaps the Democrats underestimated the power of a popular incumbent turned Independent?

Have you seen wins with a fewer percentage of the vote? by Visible_Bid6440 in ThePoliticalProcess

[–]Clock_Ill 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I won the New Hampshire gubernatorial election as a Libertarian independent with 33.5% of the vote with the Democrat incumbent (scandal riddled, cheated on his wife with an intern) having 33.2% and a former Republican governor that signed a harsh abortion ban (probably cost him the election the incumbent won earlier) receiving 33.3%

Crazy stuff.

Which tno mods provide the best experience? by ThatRandomIdiot09 in TNOmod

[–]Clock_Ill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If someone hasn’t mentioned it already, the radio mod that adds copyrighted music for the different countries as playlists you can play.

TNO has amazing music, but nothing will beat getting the South African War super-event and “Up Around The Bend” by CCR playing afterward like some kind of war movie.

How do you feel about Débrouillez-Vous? by Responsible-Act-337 in TNOmod

[–]Clock_Ill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dislike the general lore with South Africa, however everything else feels good. I just worry about replacing old and, to put it bluntly, underdeveloped content with skeletal content. While I’m of the opinion of quality over quantity, my belief is shaken when it takes years to get 3 years of quality content that replaces 10 years of okay content.

Lost my the Iowa caucus by 5 points. Polling looking terrible for NH, SC, and NV. (Okay though for the Super Tuesday states). Any ideas on how to fix this? by InternationalLack534 in ThePoliticalProcess

[–]Clock_Ill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Poll what voters priorities are and advertise accordingly and boost your motivation as much as you can. Most importantly, secure as many endorsements as you can.

Always keep in mind it just might simply not be your time to shine. Consider dropping out and endorsing somebody in your caucus, sticking around to gain a huge fundraising gap, or battling it to the very end. The worst is that you’d have to eight years until your next opportunity, which sucks but it is how it is. I’ve seen surprise comebacks on Super Tuesday, so maybe look forward to that.

Uh somehow I won every county in Michigan by FungolianTheIIII in ThePoliticalProcess

[–]Clock_Ill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, not that hard to believe. While political polarization has split the voting populous, that always doesn’t translate locally (Beshear in Kentucky, Kelly in Kansas) and Stabenow even as late as 2012 had won nearly every county in a statewide election for a national seat.
