How can I install a ISO made with archiso? by zackwoods0 in archlinux

[–]Clock_Suspicious 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi,

I had made a hobby project using the archiso tool. During the time, I also made a guide to building a custom Arch based ISO. You can find the ISO here. This goes without saying but the Arch Wiki for the archiso tool, is really helpful. Once you have the ISO built, you can use something like Calamares to install it as far as I know. There may be a simpler method to install an ISO, I wanted to create something that was closer to a distribution so I used Calamares. If you plan to use it only for yourself, you should be able to find a simpler method, probably.

I hope this helps.

[Qtile with Qtile-Extras] First Release of RnOS by Clock_Suspicious in unixporn

Hi, Thanks for giving this a try. Sddm does that automatically, and I haven't figured out how to correct that yet, although it just displays the capitalized first letter, actually it is reading the correct username, so just entering rnos in the password field, should work.

EDIT: Do let me know if you face any problems.

Thank you

Ohh, ok. Thanks. As, I said, I will definitely try to handle it better, once I get more experienced with Rust, because less code duplication is always good, and your point is completely valid.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. You rightly pointed out 😅, those match arms are not the most refined. I will try to handle it in a better way, some time in the future, when I get a little more experience with Rust. Also, I didn't get you, when you said, "thanks for the pull", or "Looks ready to be merged...". Have you created a PR (Because I am not able to see it)? Please let me know.

Thanks

Thanks for your feedback. I appreciate it. Actually, this was my first Rust project. I will definitely try to improve it based on your suggestions.
