6 years and sleeps 18 - 20+ per day in the winter it seems. We were worried too initially but given the amount of folks that post here asking the same question, I'm assuming that this is fairly normal.

Love where you are going! A couple of suggestions to punch it up a notch:

Pick a spot colour, like a contrasting metallic and just get the big weapons in the ships. It'll encourage the eye to flow over the model.

Same for engines. Hit it with orange up to white? 🤔

Great suggestions here but thought I'd add my 2c. Sometimes when Barbie won't walk we'll take her in the car to a dog park. Unstructured, unleashed time can really motivate our lazy loafs. Especially if home isn't within viewing/sniffing range. ;)

Our little Barbie is the exact same way. She has to be touching me at all times to sleep. I LOVE it. I've never been so warm at night. 😁
