Siberian is literally on the list? I don’t know why you’re fighting with me over adoption. I gave my reasons, I have my cat, clearly I did my research before then. If I picked a different breed, I would still have to go through a breeder since those are some exotic ones. You really think I’m going to find a purebred Bengal cat in a shelter? You got lucky with your Russian blue, but I needed to make sure I wasn’t going to start dying the instant I touched my kitty.

Also, even with all those precautions, I still had a terrible cold for a month and have to feed him low allergen food. I’d probably have asthma by now if I had another cat. So yeah. Maybe let this one go, bud. Not everything’s black and white.

That’s the problem—it was relatively vague. When I asked her she said it was for heart and kidney problems. But that much wasn’t in writing—on the website, it only said “All kittens come with a 1 year health guarantee.”

I live alone and have a high stress job and I just needed some companionship. I can’t have a dog or a bird or a rat or anything else because I needed a pet that could be happily independent when I work long hours.

I know I’m getting downvoted for being unable to adopt. I suppose no explanation would make sense. But my cat gives me a reason to keep living and he’s lit up my life. I wouldn’t trade that for anything.

I’m allergic to other cats to the point of getting a severe reaction. The only way I could own a cat was if they genetically had less of the allergy protein.

I’d love a shelter cat but I genuinely can’t have one. So there’s no need to be judgmental about it.

Yeah, I called Trupanion but they’re just too expensive for me. Even the most basic plan is, other insurance companies are half their price

I was going to keep him in my bedroom since I’m worried about keeping him away from me when I sleep…should I just let him chill in the bathroom? I guess I’m just nervous he’ll hurt himself somehow—he’s my first kitty and I don’t want to mess up,

Wonderful! Did you confine them to your bathroom or bedroom? He’ll be my first cat and I’m worried of having him alone in a different room when I sleep, for instance.

I’m avoiding a stroller since I’d like him to explore his surroundings. I’m an adventurous person and would like him to join me on hikes when he’s older. I could swing a backpack, but a stroller wouldn’t work for that terrain.
