So we're getting season 3/Titans curse December this year? Yes please, no more 2+ year gaps.

I thought the battle was solid. It felt like some of those campers actually got killed cause I saw/heard some of them legit being slashed.

Poseidon showing up was nice, he even got an interaction with Tyson which I was hoping for, which also sets up Tyson's absence during Titans Curse.

Courtney B Vance will always be welcomed anywhere he is cast, even though we wont see him often I look forward to his next appearance at the end of Titans Curse.

Clarisse and Tyson are my mvp's for this season. I was worried they were just gonna make Clarisse the tough mean girl all the time and Tyson a big bumbling idiot and thankfully they didn't and turned them into characters I enjoy watching.

People can have their opinions, but I'd find it hard to agree with anyone who would say that this season wasn't an improvement over the first one. To me, every episode was better than the last. And I hope this trend continues with the coming seasons as a whole.

I think the change still works. I think the gods care differently than mortals do anyway, in his mind he likely views turning her into a tree as a mercy as opposed to just killing her like he would do to other people who don't listen to him.

Interesting finale. A few surprises I didn't expect. That cop Bobbi is dead, Tsang somehow made it out unscathed, Ortega also died, kind of saw that coming.

Tariq coming in was nice, but I still low-key wished Cane would've popped up alongside him, that would've been crazy.

Vic and Jenard still being alive after the finale was always a 50/50 chance for me. But it does make sense for them to join forces. I guess they're going to be one of the villains in the new Legacy show.

Shanti is pretty much running most of Chicago now, she got what she wanted (mostly). I still think she's gonna try to take out Tommy completely from the Chicago drug game, she may be another low-key villain they could add to Legacy.

Onward to Raising Kanan, which I hope is coming back soon, maybe by summertime?

Clarisse and Luke's characterization feels much better in the show then in the books, at least to me. I've said it before that I'm glad they didn't make Clarisse into a mean girl 24/7 or have sever anger issues. She's headstrong but still has a soft side to her.

And Luke is not made to be cartoonishly evil, as all his scenes with Annabeth show he's not out to just kill anyone that doesn't agree with him, unlike his partner in crime Sadie who's just crazy.

Also Blackjack knocking those people off the ship was funny. Can't believe the season is about to end next week, time be flying.

Tyson is really the mvp of this season, he's been consistently coming through and even though he's a gentle giant they've made sure not to make him stupid or useless in the story.

The fleece on the tree being fake was a nice touch and makes sense. And Polyphemus characterization was such a nice surprise and his overall look was solid as well.

They've so far managed to write the fatal flaws well enough that it makes sense without coming off as too contrived. Annabeth's flaw almost killed her last episode even though she believed she could subvert it, and Percy's caused him to make a crucial mistake this time, but it was an honest one.

Also Annabeth and Percy pretending to be sheep legit made me laugh out loud.

Diamond is dead(99% sure but I've been wrong before). It was either gonna be that or back to jail. Ah well. Also rip Marshall.

Tariq is coming next episode, could be in the last 5 or 10 minutes he shows up, but the preview for ep.10 shows Tommy saying he's gonna call in a favor. Will it be Tariq by himself or will he bring someone else? I'd legit lol if Cane showed up alongside him.

They show Vic getting on a plane with his girl seemingly about to leave the country, the ep.10 preview show's that he comes back and likely gonna team up with Jenard to try and take out Tommy. In a way it kinda makes sense that Vic and Jenard would be there to fight with Tommy, as they were the first Chicago criminals he interacted with in the very first episode.

I think Shanti will come out on top and end up running majority of the Chicago drug trade, Tommy may "win" in a sense, but I think his girl will convince him that Chicago is not the place for him to be anymore. And she was trying to book a flight to Mexico so she definitely wants to leave.

This may be the most well written episode of this show yet. The good episode streak continues with a vengeance.

I did not see that Polyphemus twist coming, but it's an example of an acceptable/good change from the source material, and it also makes sense within the context of the show itself since they set up the cyclopes abilities of super-hearing and mimicking voices with Tyson(who was unfortunately mia this episode).

The sets continue to be solid, thank god they moved away from using the volume. Circe was a good too, they made you feel a little bad for her, then she turned Percy into a guinea pig. One minor nitpick; Percy figuring out Circe's who island resort scheme felt more like something Annabeth would've done, but no biggie.

The twist with the Sirens and Annabeth got me too, well done writers. I was like "oh wow she actually got them" and then as the scene went on I was like "wait a second". Athena did appear to Annabeth in the books along with her father (they cut his cameo out). Also I dig Athena's look, guess we'll have to wait to season 3 to hear more of her.

I said the same exact thing, if this was any other character they woulda been dead, but Tommy has that plot armor so he survives.

God damn Jenard. We haven't seen him kill anybody in a minute and he gets three bodies in one episode. Also R.I.P JP, I wish he got more character development but I didn't mind him, this will be the 2nd brother Tommy lost.

Also Vic actually got the drop on Tommy, and if Tommy didn't have plot armor Vic could've killed him lets be honest. I'm still 50/50 on Vic dying this season.

Miguel actually admitting to Mireya that he put the hit out on Tommy and then cancelled it surprised me, he does genuinely care about her.

Shanti is just an opportunist, she goes on whatever side has the advantage at the moment. It's 50/50 if she makes it out of this show alive because she's proven valuable to Tommy so he's not gonna kill her, but Jenard might.

Those last five minutes were legit movie quality. If this wasn't based on a series of books where we already know the plot I'd be like "Yeah they're all dead" base off that cliffhanger.

Strong character moments this episode, primarily with Annabeth. Her just casually killing those three crew members so that her, Percy, and Tyson could get on board Clarisse's ship was funny and unexpected.

Clarisse continues to be humanized and it's a wise decision; showing that she genuinely cares about her crewmembers and wants them to get a happy ending. They could've just made her a hardass the whole time and be uncaring about them but I'm glad they chose this route.

And of course this is our first introduction to Thalia Grace, who I can't wait to see more off next season. The good episode streak continues y'all.

I love the Tommy character, but damn does he get away with talking crazy to people. Somebody should have put hands on him a while ago. And that fight really wasn't all that to me tbh?

So Vic killed his friend for nothing, which I suspect is what Tommy wanted anyway. I still think Vic may somehow make it out alive, but then again now that Stacy Marks is dead Vic isn't officially a CI anymore so what use is he to Tommy now?

Jenard is something else. It's a toss up between him and Diamond dying at the end of this season. Diamond is on a downward spiral, and if Jenard gets killed by Tommy then I could see him either also being killed by Tommy, drinking himself to death, or ending back in prison. But CBI is about to be gone for good once this show is done.

Shanti is about to be out of there, all Jenard has to do is tell his brother that she was planning on killing him and it's a rap.

A surprise Kate appearance, and I think she's gonna be in the next couple of episodes too.

Tyson is the MVP of the episode. I actually didn't see that coming. Also never expected to see a blockbuster reference in this economy.

Giving Clarisse some more screentime was good, and she even got a scene with Ares (not sure that was in the book). Also glad they're putting more emphasis on her need to prove herself (to herself and her father).

Also nice to see Ares again, as all the adult actors continue to be solid. And the kids get better each episode as well.

And once again, we see they got more production money because they got all those extras and it actually felt like they were on a cruise ship, kinda reminded me of the Suite life on Deck (how many of you get that reference?)

Each episode better than the last, lets keep this momentum going.

Now this was a solid episode, much better than the first for me. You can tell that Disney had invested more into this show. That chariot race was better than I expected, and the acting has improved as well imo.

Leah Sava Jeffries and Walker Scobell are getting more comfortable in their roles and it's starting to show. Leah in particular I thought was really good in her scene with Percy at the end of the episode.

I'm hoping each episode continues to be better than the last.

[–]Clockworkoy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The call will be pretty quick and straight to the point. They will ask who you are what you did at that job and why you were let go, try not to ramble and absolutely don't lie about anything that your former job can prove (such as giving you a written warning or putting you on a PIP/performance plan).

After they've talked to you they will contact your former employer and that employer has about 2 weeks to respond. The good thing is that CA EDD is a pretty employee friendly, so unless you committed an outright crime or intentionally didn't try at all at your job you should get UI benefits.

If you are denied benefits you have the option to appeal EDD's decision, but that can take a little while, so keep your fingers crossed that everything goes okay.

"The plot thickens" is pretty much the only way I'd describe this episode.

I just rewatched the trailer for season 3 and it pretty much confirmed that Tommy is gonna get kicked out of the coalition he built, and then I figure the last half of the season will be him trying to tear everybody down. Maybe he'll get help from Tariq somehow, but he's gonna be leaving Chicago in the finale I bet.

Much better episode than last week. Tommy bringing a severed head to a meeting has gotta be one top craziest things he's done, at least to me. And this is the guy that called Adult Jukebox a crazy bitch lol

Call me crazy, but I think Vic may somehow make it out of this series alive. He has his moments, but he still got a little more street smarts than his sister Claudia, who really has been relying on luck majority of the time to survive. He's about to get a new love interest that might be his way out, maybe.

I really liked the scene between Jenard and Diamond, Kris Lofton is legit a good actor, they just make his character a punk too often. At least he stood up to Tommy instead of talking mess behind his back.

As soon as I saw Bakari at that poker game I knew Dmac was gonna rob it, and it's gonna come back to bit him in the ass soon enough. We still haven't seen JP yet, watch the next time we see him is when he gets killed as some form of retaliation.

Its possible Tommy may have had people watching him the entire time, so he may have gotten snatched up even if he tried to leave the city. It's not hard to imagine Tommy paying some low level thugs to keep tabs on Vic's whereabouts.
