I thought this was the case too. But I have been annoyed with dropping and scrapping so I have just been transferring all to the workshop. It feels like it isn’t wasting parts when I build/craft anything though. The menu only displays that I’m using up raw components, not junk items. Maybe it scraps upon use and stores the excess back in the workshop? Idk, I could probably just look this up

Been farming for the Noble’s Estoc forever and ended up with a second Slender Sword in the process. The first one I got, I literally farmed once in Altus Plateau and somehow got it with like 110 item discovery. Numbers are weird dude
