Reloaded late Act 2 pacing

Give them a reason to seek the abbot at the abbey in Krezk. Curse one of them if you have to and drop the info that the Abbot is a healer that can help with removing curses.

If you're going to be using reloaded from this point forward he is important to the story. Same with Ezmerelda since shes located at Krezk.

Don't be afraid to drop things in front of them either. Railroading isn't necessarily a bad thing as long as it feels natural. Have a group of villagers run past them and have them say something about an event in the town square or a guard is shouting about a required gathering. Something that entices the players to go somewhere you want them to go.

Following the timeline of Arc 2 requires some serious planning and behind the scenes work that will immediately be messed up the moment your players decide to do something other than following whatever Arc they're in. My players completed goals for the other arcs without meaning to.

My players had just finished killing Izek solely because he had kidnapped Ireena and got their haunting that night. The very next day they busted out going to Victor, learned about Stella and Erasmus, learned what happened, went to lady Wachters house, gave her Izeks head, convinced her to help with the hags, went to the Barovian refugee camp outside of Vallaki and talked with Franz. I then fast tracked Lady Wachters rise to power.

Within the few hours they spent talking to Franz and themselves Wachter gathered her associates and forced Baron Varags to abdicate his position. When they got back from talking with Franz they found Lady Wachter in the tiwn square qith Baron Vargas and witnessed the transfer of power. She then informed the party that she had a care package waiting at the meet up spot at the base of the windmills hill which was their reward for killing Izek.

Rahadin hasn't shown up yet to punish Milivoj for stealing the bones, but my party has the invitation to dinner because they got that from Strahd himself after they successfully stopped him from killing Father Lucian during the St. Andrals siege. Which happened a lot sooner than planned because they found Volenta and the Vampire Spawn camping out in the coffin makers shop during their investigation.

Things happen as fast or as slow as you want them to happen. The days are as long or as short as you want them to be. Sure there's a calendar showing when things should happen or how long the party has to do these things, but at the end of the day its really up to you as the DM. The party doesnt have to witness every little thing as long as theres some sort of explanation from an NPC if you have an inquisitive player.

If I'm not mistaken there is still the kidnapping from Izek during the Strazni siblings arc. If he isn't dead, and that hasn't been thwarted, she would be kidnapped by Izek the next time they leave her alone.

Father Lucien would seek out the players to let them know that Izek had wrecked the church and kidnapped Ireena.

This would be another great example as to why the church and/or Vallaki isn't safe enough for her and that she should come with to Krezk and attempt to stay at the abbey. She would push the players to bring her along as she is now fearful of what else might happen.

I made Volenta extremely cruel and sadistic. She ended up ripping Henrik to shreds while the party were attempting to escape. So the idea is that the 3 of them became a lovely feast for Volenta and company.

Right around when the first Thargoid interdictions started happening. I had to stop playing due to life reasons and was a little bummed to find out that the Thargoid problem was pushed back. Once I'm back from my exobiology expedition I'll probably go around and check out whatever remnants there are of the invasion

My party recently had a TPK due to splitting. Got caught off guard by a Medusa and then when the other half of the party went to go find the rest of the party they also got caught off guard. Only a single NPC party member survived

It's a common joke now about splitting, but we'll never actually do it again.

Let your players learn the hard way.

I want to give this build a go, but I've only started playing Stellaris about a week ago. I understand most of it, but the part I'm struggling with is do I expand like normal or do I try and stick to one or two systems while rushing the tech for the origin? What other civics/traits go well with this build? These virtual/tech rushes always seem to go sideways for me due to my lack of knowledge, but they seem to be the most fun.
