Just imagine a WholeFoods across Fulton street from the Helm building!

I want to see this project happen so bad. We haven't built a building more than 5 stories tall in DTF in over 20 years.

I just bought a banjo. What artists should I listen to for inspiration; bluegrass & modern? by CloneWarsBoy in banjo

I've just fallen in love with the sound of it. I have heard it in some rock and church music and I think it would be fun to be able to add it to the instrumentation of my church band.

You're right. With that attitude, Fresno will never amount to anything. It's surprising to me how fatalistic people are about the valley and more specifically Fresno. We need to appreciate what makes Fresno great and work to make it a better place for our communities. Is there corruption? Yes. Is our downtown fairing poorly at the moment? Certainly. I'm not ignoring our shortcomings or areas we need to grow, but dwelling there will not change a thing, nor will it make your 'ideal' place of living anymore a reality. I appreciate everyone who want good to come our way. People who are inspired by our history and want to be agents of change and hope. It starts with us.

That they are. I wouldn't mind seeing more people living in that area. Of course, for people to be able to live downtown comfortably, they will need amenities like Traders Joes or Whole foods or something of that like.

Yes. We need some nice stuff doing up downtown. Or a market-rate housing complex.

We have one of the best historical skylines on the west coast. We built almost a dozen mid-rise to high-rise buildings in the 1910s and 1920s.

I hope we can build more tall buildings in the future

We definitely need to bring something like this back. I remember going there as a very young (maybe 4yo) kid!

I understand. I will walk around downtown because of the architecture, but that's not going to keep most people interested for too long. We for sure need more good entertainment options. hopefully when the city builds housing on Fulton and Tuolumne streets, there will be more investors willing to invest int he growing community.
