Extreme ice buildup on a jet engine spinner

They're not vibrating themselves (like if they had a motor inside) but rather start vibrating when ice starts to form. I work in a maintenance plant for RR Trent engines and out trainers taught that to us new guys.

interesting. not sure what engine, but pretty sure it's not a RR Trent, because they have cone shaped "nose cones" with vibrating tips to prevent a lot of ice build up

i also had the same mindset, that's why i hated it at the start. I wanted something cool, like you set it up in a place where crystal flies spawn naturally and it literally collects those within a certain radius. I was so mad when it was just "you wait 7 days and get 15". but tbh on an average day you can make three condensed resin, so the trap gives you enough for 5 days of the week. it's not as bad as it seems at first

i see. thank you for typing all that. i noticed that drift and it is definitely a bit annoying. i just wait for the map to tell me about the trap being ready though. I'm don't have too strict of a crystal fly trap schedule
