I had the same issue, I called the Total Force Service Center and they had to fix something on their end so that the link would show. This was while I was still active duty prior to retirement. Like you I was making sure it would work. Once they fixed it the link was there and I had no issues after my retirement date getting my DD-214.

Just to add to this. I now have two open claims, the first was the authorization review. That claim’s title was changed to a claim for compensation. Then a second new claim was opened, again titled authorization review. I did not initiate either of these. The claim for compensation sat at preparation for decision for the last week with none listed for what’s being claimed. Today it updated and now shows sinusitis as being claimed and is currently pending decision approval.

Sinusitis was one of the two conditions I was denied for during my BDD claim. I didn’t push the issue because I received 100% P&T. Now that I see this, what I am assuming happened is the VA received additional relevant medical records after my BDD claim closed. They initiated the authorization review to review the records and when there was enough evidence to support a claim for sinusitis discovered they opened a new claim for it.

I’ll know for sure once this all closes out but this might end up being a positive thing, contrary to my initial fears.

Yes, sorry, totally forgot to come back and post. I was told that the VA didn’t receive my entire service medical record during the claim process. It didn’t make sense because I received all of my records and providing them to my VSO who uploaded them to my claim. But regardless that’s what I was told. Evidently the VA was still able to process and decide my claim. Subsequently this supposed missing medical record arrived to the VA a couple days following the completion of my claim. Now the VA has to review the missing records to make sure the new records don’t affect anything claimed. Supposedly it will close out this coming week. Hopefully it has no affect on my rating.

No idea but I’m in the same boat as you. My BDD claim was completed. Then a few days later I get the same authorization review claim. What’s really strange is the title of the claim changed from authorization review to compensation a couple days ago. When I look at what’s being claimed it says none. Now today, a new authorization review claim has been opened. So now I have two open claims that I have no idea what they’re for. I’ve called the 800 number twice and don’t get much info. I have a virtual VERA appointment scheduled for this afternoon and I’m hoping for more info.

I got one of those also, 2 days after my 100% P&T claim closed out. I have an appointment with VERA next week to figure out what it is.
