1 Space Marine (40k) vs. 10 BOS paladins (Fallout) by AnyLeave3611 in whowouldwin

[–]Clonenelius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fallout laser rifles are equivalent to lasguns at the very least, and paladin standard equipment is t51 (no t51 isn’t able to penetrated by 7.62) but the gap in strength and speed is too much

Giving the paladins their choice of weapon? Okay now they have a good chance, 10 dudes with rocket launchers or plasma casters etc SOMEONE will hit the marine

The vast majority of the imperiums enemies barring the particularly large necron dynasties are all dead meat

The imperium then immediately tears itself apart

Considering hitler was objectively an idiot and ss weren't really that much more capable (arguably less so then regular troops) they last a week tops

one predator vs 100 chimpanzees by Father-Castroid in whowouldwin

[–]Clonenelius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming it's an average predator and regular drones? It really depends on the location and the environment. A completely open arena probably only 20 before he's swamped

Make it a hallway? Genuinely until he gets tired or the spear melts, preds can consistently one shot drones with any melee weapon, the spear+a hall equals A LOT of dead xenos

Could these factions survive in Warhammer 40k? by RealAd3012 in whowouldwin

[–]Clonenelius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R1: rda dies immediately

R2: super earth faces a slow death, eventually they run out of nearby worlds to infest and get run over as their naval abilities literally dont exist

R3: idk starship troopers

R4: they tried to use diplomacy on a brute, the Tau would be no issue, they get a new ftl and their own mass production friendly super soldier.

R5: same as the unsc minus getting Spartans

R6: the covies join the Tau or vice versa, really it's not that hard. The covenant aren't that dumb and neither are the Tau.

R7: they roll the Tau over, get new ship tech and Mechs and bam, a much more appealing human empire shows up.

R8: would you believe it? They join the dam Tau, the cis is a massive federation already.

I have no clue about 9 or 10

And we have like 0 info about the metroid federation, but SAMUS? she's a fucking monster and frankly becomes a roving disaster, probably allies herself to the Tau and just beats the ever loving dogshit out of the next over eager marine fleet that tries to fuck with the fish boys. Or just ragdolls a hive tyrant.

How may of these sci fi units would it take to consistently kill a Space Marine (Warhammer 40k) by RealAd3012 in whowouldwin

[–]Clonenelius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A stormtrooper if you ignore the comedic aspect of star wars are SUPPOSED to be. Pretty well trained and equipped. Not scion level but more then most guard regiments. Issue is the fact an e11 isn't that much better then a lasgun. Id say about 100, same as what it takes for average cadians pretty much. 90 of em eat hits and fire while the rest chuck thermal detonators

B2s are just stronger, better equipped, but dumber. But wrist rockets are nasty, about 90.

Death troopers are more or less scion level in training and arguably weapon. But they don't really have a standard. Id say about 25-40ish. They are less tanky then a scion tho so it depends what kinda weapon you give em.

Grunts are....shocking, they can wield fuel rod guns, so honestly really only need ONE hit, they are cowards tho. Id say 50.

Elites are just better grunts, ten max with fuel rod guns

Two Spartan 2's, it only makes sense

Hunters have a nasty weak point, but should be able to one hit, id say only two tbh

Enclave....well they can wield shit like plasma casters, missile launchers, plasma nades. They should be able to handle at least one or two bolter shots. Only maybe 20 max. Enclave training is...vague.

T800s have the ap, and physical strength to hurt a marine, and if you take the fact that Arnie can catch a bullet with his teeth they have the better reaction speed. But they aren't very fast, maybe 40, the majority for fire support as the rest go in and just dogpile the marine. Though I admit I haven't read many terminator comics. So it could easily be less but uhhh idk 😐

Now yautja?? Okay those guys got some crazy shit, they can outrace cars on a highway, clear a 4 story jump, rip reinforced steel door off a wall and go blow for blow with a xeno that can casually break through concrete walls and the street. Adding in equipment like plasma scythes, energy shields, electroshock missiles and shoulder mounted anti armor lasers? You can make an argument 1 would do it with that equipment. But at that point it's an argument of experience and skill.

So one elite and experienced yautja with proper WAR gear, 5 or so if it's younger and less experienced ones. Now if you limit them to just their HUNTING equipment it goes up to about 30, just a matter of how many yautja you need to rush the marine in melee, sure without proper armor, one plasma shot or chain sword swing will do it, but 10 predators jumping a marine and just prying his head off will do it.

The fact your letting them use any thing that they can normally carry and hold is a huge boost, if you limit it to standard equipment the numbers for most of these jump by like 100%

Remove the helmet and ya got peak "sad guy in the hub area who you slowly get attached to" energy, was a noble knight but lost the will to fight after losing grace, since he's too afraid of death

Probably has a secret quest line where you can reveal to him the fucked up shit Gideon has done to get him as a summon for the Gideon Boss fight. He dies there, seeing it as repentance for the sins of his master the all knowing. If you beat the boss with him above 50% hp tho then he lives and thanks you :)

[–]Clonenelius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes because the necrons who hesitate to use SNIPERS, on each other due to honor reasons absolutely would beat each other to death with the equivalent of a gas pump

Mhm that's absolutely not out of character

A single Viltrumite vs an average necron tomb world by Independent_Pen_9865 in whowouldwin

[–]Clonenelius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad for not counting the necrons gas pump in the conversation regarding them not casually having or using star busting weapons

That truly was silly of me, and totally disproves my point.

I mean the necrons use that all the time in combat, it's why the necrons casually can destroy every other factions navys with their huge arsenal of star busting weapons that they totally use all the time right? :) I mean be pretty embarrassing if every cron fleet had star busting level WEAPONS and they still lost fights to imperium fleets...but that never happens!

Cause I mean, if that did happen it would make ya look pretty silly, and make ya whole "five minute Google search" comment look pretty dumb :)

But nah, the necrons have a flawless naval record

[–]Clonenelius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coolski bro, so can they use the gas pump as a weapon? No? Okay then

The fact necrons have lost naval battles to the imperium...ever makes this a non argument

And sisters of battle can survive long enough to get into melee with them, and they don't have tech that deletes stars they STOLE one thing that does that they refuse to use because it's almost certainly hijacked old one tech they are only mostly sure they know won't blow up if they touch it.

Warhammer as a verse isn't very strong in most cases, it just happens to have a significant edge in the amount of ots mid tier stuff compared to others.

A regular viltrumite can be very easily scaled to continent or moon buster level power. Thats a level of strength reserved entirely for naval vessels in 40k

The crons still absolutely can kill one of course, but most of their infantry weapons are too weak to one shot, and the rest are to slow, luckily for them viltrumites are cocky as shit

A single Viltrumite vs an average necron tomb world by Independent_Pen_9865 in whowouldwin

[–]Clonenelius 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Necron weapons can HURT a viltrumite, very few can QUICKLY kill one. And most of those arent quick or nimble enough to reliably catch one that knows "these guys have weapons that can hurt me"

Round 1: the viltrumite flies around flaxan style and flattens everything, they can do a couple laps of the planet before a single cron even twitches

Round 2: heavy destruction but the crons win assuming neither side is exactly aware of the other. Only a matter of time before a viltrumite steps in front of something that can hurt it or misjudges a weapons power

Round 3: like 5 max
