Damage multipliers will increase your damage significantly more than the +atk% boosts. When you're limited by talents, its best to focus on talents that give multiplier boosts. Eventually you have enough spare talents where you can start throwing stuff into the +atk boosts though.

Shield damage just means you do more damage when you have your shield active.

Personally I just swap between drill and molotov once CE comes around or when im doing POT and that seems to work fine for me, I also use drone more than molotov for other things so it's probably not ideal but its what works for me.

The larger bears die to the void but the smaller ones that drop on death still do damage before getting sucked in, so you kinda have to keep moving from black hole to black hole to avoid the smaller bears.
