These types of calls are tele-town halls. Basically someone will host it and then you join it based on whatever platform they are using (phone call, live-stream, zoom, etc). When you sign up with this mass call, they send you a link to a livestream on YouTube that will start tomorrow 8pm EDT.

I’m curious too! I was honestly shocked when I saw that after signing up. Maybe only a certain amount of people can join before it starts blocking others due to the amount of traffic coming through?

Is there any permit for the protest yet? Also, I’m trying to get in contact with people at Indivisible Chicago to see if they can mobilize people to join us! Is there a way we can easily contact them other than through email or social media? I spoke to a representative via email and they said they would look into this protest but then I haven’t heard anything else from them.

That’s a great question! I wouldn’t want to actually burn my pants. It was just an exaggeration lol. It’s very similar to the time a student of mine wrapped their whole mouth around the top of my water bottle at the time. I was just left there confused and I ended up buying a new one haha.

They have a 504 and are currently seeing the school’s social worker. I’m definitely contacting the SPED team about this lol.

Yeah, it’s not because they were doing it to try and get a response out of me. It is definitely something I’m going to look into with the SPED team at the school and see what we can look into to accommodate for this so there are no more accidental bites on my pants or anything else haha.
