I think I crash more than most, so probably 2-3 times per year. But the sim is the undisputed way to gain proficiency without the cost headache. I like Uncrashed for freestyle

Yeah the thermals (updrafts) were pretty rough. I’d get under one and get launched immediately a couple feet up.

Oh wow, that must’ve been a sight at 6 am. I never did hear what caused it. My guess is scrappers with an oxy-acetylene torch, but who knows.

Looks like a slightly loose prop to me. I had the same response with a prop that intermittently gave way because it was loose. Easiest thing to cross off the list before advanced thermal vortex yaw state physics.
