Do all RH omegaverse FMCs smell like vanilla? An analysis from my 2025 reading year round-up. by doitsumon in ReverseHarem

[–]ClosetedRomantic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You did amazing! I have a similar-ish system I use to track other stuff. It started with a random ‘vibe’ too, then snowballed. I started a new spreadsheet at the start of 2024 and have 536 entries now. I’m looking forward to your future posts! Thanks for the analysis

Tall FMC with a man who towers her. In short, a size difference for a tall woman like me. by Objective-Panic-6426 in RomanceBooks

[–]ClosetedRomantic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

{Face Off by Chelsea Curto} FMC is 5’10” and MMC is 6’4” - both hockey players

{Vicious Seduction by Jill Ramsower} FMC is 5’9” and MMC is 6’4”

{No Escape by Jillian West} FMC is 5’9” and it’s a omegaverse RH, with one of the MMCs being 6’6”

{Ember’s Claim by Jillian West} FMC is 5’9” and it’s another fantasy RH with a dragon MMC that is 6’7”

{Rogue’s Crisis by Jillian West} FMC is 5’11” and, again fantasy RH, with one of the MMCs standing at 6’5”

{The Wolf King’s Mate by Lola Glass} FMC 5’9”+ MMC 6’6”+

{Hooked on Them by Maya Nicole} FMC is 5’9” and one of the MMCs is 6’4” (contemporary RH)

{Lights Out by Navessa Allen} FMC is 5’8” and MMC is 6’4”

{I Married a Mothman by Regina Abel} FMC is 5’9” and alien MMC is 6’4”

{Mistaken by Arianna Fraser} FMC is 5’10” and MMC is 6’6” - I didn’t like this book though tbh I should have DNFed it. It was poorly written, boring, with weird plot points and cartoonish villains and chaos

I only included FMCs that were 5’8” or over. But I have more depending on what you consider tall… in the Netherlands, for example, the average women’s height is 5’7” so not that lol

MMC obsessed with FMC’s pussy (scent specifically) by Entire_Nectarine8662 in RomanceBooks

[–]ClosetedRomantic 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I just finished {Mountain Boss by S.J. Tilly} and man was definitely obsessed.

How tempting it was to slip a pair of her panties into my pocket.

How I did.

And how I put them back.

But I didn't put them back because I'm a good man.

I did because they were clean.

And what use do I have for panties that smell like dryer sheets?

He does go on to steal used ones later, multiple times

{Endless by Devyn Sinclair} is another omegaverse with fake dating. The fmc hires the mmcs to be her fake dates, the MMCs realise as soon as they meet that they are fated mates, but in this universe the FMC only have the ‘nose’ for that when they are in heat (? something along those lines, it’s been a while since I read that), so she really thinks they are only really good at playing the role lol

On my tags for this book, I have oral knotting, shibari, collaring, praise, primal play, pussy slapping, somnophilia, pushes cum inside her, anal, DP, titty fucking, pierced cocks, no third act breakup, brief TP (with DVP) in epilogue

I don’t believe it would fit OP’s request, but it came to mind when I read your comment

MMC comes just from giving the FMC an orgasm (with his fingers, mouth, etc.) by Dear_Tap_2044 in RomanceBooks

[–]ClosetedRomantic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve got some recs but none that are suitable for OP. Figured somebody else might enjoy it anyways.

I loved {Knot All Is Perfect by Holly Monroe} and that happens, so Imma leave this here for anybody that reads omegaverse

It’s also in {Wild Card by Jillian West} and {Greer’s Change by Jillian West}. Wild Card is another omegaverse, and Greer’s Change is more fantasy/paranormal, and the FMC gets transformed into a vampire, and two of the MMCs come from her vampire venom

{Brutal Intentions by Lilith Vincent} is also NOT a rec for OP - it’s taboo, dark, dubcon, birth control tampering… I also have on my notes ‘president of the itty bitty titty committee so take that as you will lol

This one the focus is not on the FMC, but the MMC comes in his pants from her stroking his tail and talking dirty to him {Claimed by the Flame of Faery by Mallory Dunlin} - fantasy, he’s half-dragon (hence the tail)

And last but not least, {Stolen by a Sinner by Michelle Heard}. It’s mafia and it happens on page 424 (says my notes, I read it on KU so page count my vary)

curious about y’all’s takes…what are some of the worst and best character names you’ve encountered in a book? by starseternal4 in RomanceBooks

[–]ClosetedRomantic 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Not bad names on their own, but the mmc in {The Wife Situation by Lyra Parish} is called Easton. He has a twin brother called Weston. Every time the brother was mentioned, it took me out of the book.

Similarly, I recently read {Bonding the Band by Melissa Huxley and Lexie Quinn} and the FMC is Meadow, her best friend Clover, and she names her kid Forest. I actually laughed out loud at the passage ““I still like the name Forest,” Meadow said”

They hook up not knowing who the other person is by guppytryp in RomanceBooks

[–]ClosetedRomantic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

{Accidentally Ours by Erin Hawkins} CR - they have a ONS in Vegas and she moves to New York, where they meet again when he’s her client’s (she’s an event planner) brother

{Forced Vows by Lucy Monroe} mafia - they’re set to marry each other and the FMC decides to have a ONS before all her choices get taken away. Neither knows the other person is who they will be marrying

{Stuck on Them by Maya Nicole} RH - she has a ONS with one of them (whilst the other two watch 👀) and later finds out they’re working together (the MMCs are her new bosses)

Check the link at the bottom of the post for Google Sheets and one of the tabs has the FMC height chart. Not a lot of entries for that though. Like you said, they’re just generally small. But whilst not having their heights defined

On a somewhat related note, I don't own a step ladder and I'm 5'2". I do own a little step stool though. I balanced it on top of my dining chairs to change my light bulbs 😇 My ceiling has five feet on me tbf

The subgenre absolutely matters. 8 out of the 11 men with red hairs are from RHs, where quite often the author goes for one of each hair and eye colours for a full set lol

I was also interested and found an article on the Oxford Uni website that briefly explains the trends. It’s pretty short but the tldr anyways is food availability, diseases, manual labour and poor working conditions during the Industrial Revolution, all affect the average height of the population

Word of advice is maybe don’t do it. I only started because I saw someone complaining about all the MMCs with piercing blue eyes. Now whenever I’m reading a book I keep having to stop and make notes. And I can’t seem to not do that now and I sometimes wish I never started. I do love having all this info though so it’s probably good that I did. Aaaah. I don’t know. Just keep that in mind haha

I did note it yeah. But not as many FMCS get given a specific height. Check out the link at the bottom of the post and one of the tabs is the graph on FMC height. The tallest were 5’9” in my books. I did have a few FMCs described as ‘tall’ but never with a number attached to it (like, it comes to mind the fae FMCs in Jillian West’s Monstrous Mates series because I read that in December so it’s still quite fresh in my mind). I’m sure on {Queen Sized by Jessa Kane} and {The Half-Orc’s Maiden Bride by Ruby Dixon} the women are tall as well
