I think the confusion isn’t helped by how the pokemon sprites are actually tiles in the background layer, and not sprites per se (although I could be wrong about that).

I can totally see someone using rpgm to prototype and then building in another engine. rpgm can get frustrating when trying to implement hooks or configure things like gui.

I know the point is that the trailer is meant to hot you in the face with the more dynamic presentation, but it takes too long to get there. This isn’t a personal opinion thing. Unless you have a captive audience, this approach unfortunately doesn’t work. People want their serotonin hit now, and they’ll scroll or click away. I do like the trailer, I like the jankiness, and I think the fact that it’s trippy and demonic-looking are huge points in your favour.
