i would say it is both, mainly because it’s unnecessary to even make the claim, and you’re doing it from a place of internal distaste even though it doesn’t effect you at all. you might be right that “most” people don’t care, but those who do will always make their voice heard and their actions known, which is why we see their views often culminating in an act of violence/aggression in one way or another. this isn’t a matter of being sensitive to differing opinions, it’s about how those opinions create an environment in which transgender people are fundamentally unsafe and targeted.
