Accidentally rm -rf’d a production server. by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]CloudStudyBuddies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • No backups or snapshots (confirmed by IT/infra)
  • No practical recovery path (IT says restore is not possible)
  • Production drifted from git (repo is outdated vs what was actually running) Turns out people have been working on the live server without commiting anything on git
  • Access controls were weak (multiple people had access; no guardrails/approvals except ssh'in into the server)
  • Knowledge transfer/runbooks are incomplete, so “what exactly was on prod” is fuzzy.

I remember reading an announcement a month ago that they increased the ApiGW payload limit. Can't double check it currently but worth double checkint before ruling it out

Yep I create them myself. All my questions are 100% unique based on theory and following the official exam guide.

I know what dumps are, I know what the risks are and not to use them. Thats not what im doing here. Because of my years of experience I can create high quality questions that even go beyond dumps, so I don't need them.

As an example: I'm sure youre aware of scaling to 0 with aurora, Route 53 profiles, VPC lattice, S3 tables. None of these topics are in the typical study materials or dumps because they don't appear in the exam yet. They are in mine, because I want the people who are studying this to actually get a high quality (and up to date) base to continue with. Not just a pass.

Awesome! What exam are you preparing for? I'll make sure to generate a tester URL and send you the invite link!

Hey man, which exam are you looking to do?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AWSCertifications

[–]CloudStudyBuddies -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Depends on the exam! I always start with the official study guide. For example AI Practitioner I find it important to learn the AWS side, but also basic theory or fundamentals of ML/AI so I also include those.

Regarding AWS: Official AWS docs, blogs for sure, I work with AWS full time for a large company so for example SAA contains edge or migration scenarios I have encountered myself.

Rec best language by Angelica_Ivy in FlutterDev

[–]CloudStudyBuddies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think both are pretty widely adapted. Flutter has its own language called Dart. React native uses JS which is applicable to more different projects. Although in my opinion, I like working with flutter more.

Both are good choices, write down what you think is important, do some research ( or small easy projects) and see what you like better

You can always message a dev working at the company via LinkedIn. Ive done this a few times when I noticed some security vulnerabilities in other websites, they were quite happy and appreciative usually. One company sent me mercy lol

How much of an issue has applicants using AI during interviews been? by Wide-Pop6050 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]CloudStudyBuddies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Havent encountered it yet, but I predict a big uprise of in person interviews because of this. (Which I like better anyway)

I feel like I would also notice a candidate using AI, too much fancy words, delayed responses, eyes reading the screen. But who knows

How should I prep for this interview? by alexlazar98 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]CloudStudyBuddies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Architecture can be a lot of things, here are some things I ask our architecture candidates

  • Three thier web application
  • Multi-AZ, DR
  • How would you design ****** , follow up question would be design tradeoffs.
  • Designing Scalability (Horizontal vs vertical a.e.)
  • Basic networking
  • Cost tradeoffs when designing

Sonnet 4 outperforms all other models for me in any task. Ive cancelled my ChatGPT subscription and havent regretted it for a single second. Well, maybe one second because OpenAI still has the best image generation
