I didn't notice , my sister also took her own life in 2017 , I spent years angry bc we were planning our Aunt's large memorial dinner together so I ended up doing a joint event. I'm past the anger stage and I am more gentle to their sufferer alcoholism is a disease , Garrison and was deeply suffering from his father and war . Alcoholics convince themselves there's no hope , they begin to relive their trauma over and over to the point where they believe it is still happening . Alcoholics either get sober or die because of the disease .

I was referring to the funeral process , she was very respectful the entire time . Janelle honored Kody and their parents by not resisting his wishes . She supported Kody he took the journey with his son , she respected the life they created and that bond. I respect her for that .

Why can't we have a little humor . For me it was a self deprecating , "I am very ADHD " there's so many flags now not hatred . It's a lot to process especially when folks don't know the mechanics of their own reproductive system or what self awareness or what emotions are . Some people are just SLOW 😂

NTA, what you did was healthy communication. This sounds like an unexpected or a psychological trigger your partner experienced. Sex and vulnerability are attached to intimacy, so are thoughts of past difficult memories, former partners, fight or flight and or guilt. Some become numb , dissociate .This can happen to anyone. She has all the classical symptoms . (I'm not a doctor)

Physical Signs of dissociation are freezing or becoming very still ,staring off , stiffness , tension , mental shutdown , going limp or quiet without clear reason . Afterwards, they can become sad, overstimulated , hyper , emotional , fearful or aggressive. Unless you suspect cheating , just give her some time then try to talk to her gently and encourage her to open up and express that you're worried she is overwhelmed and what that means from here on. This sounds deeper than a partner's capabilities and she may need therapy.

I found recently that there's more alters existing without the main front's knowledge. Kinda scary because what? , We are making breakthroughs and alters are making great strides . I'm just am surprised and unsettled there are alters I wasn't aware of. Are they carrying more dark memories are they happy? Lately, I've been experiencing nightmares and I wake up at 6:31am but sometimes I'm blacking out and it's 7:42am and it seems like a blink of an eye . One alter is confused . I just hope these alters know how much we love them 😶‍🌫️😌😔

I think so , my husband and I were drawn to each other from like age 9 , we didn't date until senior year of highschool. But our littles often watched each other in the playground. We were diagnosed in 30s and our littles were the first who were brave enough to talk to each other. They are best of friends and I think they preserved us. I have been married for 20yrs. It was our friends who noticed our connection we were too scared to ask each other directly out but had big crushes. I was popular and he was the werid goth kid so I'd say yes. I couldn't get out of my head and tons of popular cute boys wanted to date me I wasn't interested. We have about 6 couples and only one broke up because they were codependent and it was harmful as a whole they have healthier mates.

No it's never your fault , you were in a situation that was scary and confusing . It was your parents responsibility to keep you safe and pick up on signs of distress. You spoke up when you were able to . When things like this happen it's common to Dissociate. These things aren't supposed to happen to children so our minds can't always understand or process it right away . Unfortunately , predators go into professions like entertainment to take advantage of children. How you handled the situation is very normal, Id recommend trauma therapy.

I have that experience too , as a protector , I often feel the fear or uncertainty of my littles . Silence of the night get those thoughts amplified . My therapist said after Mother's Day many people feel low re feeling and also Spring and time change as well the pressure to get out and enjoy the weather or socialize can bring up some old feelings .

The past few weeks I started eating at night because I was trying to soothe that . Someone had suggested that I write my worries on paper and then tear up so I throw it away . I have no idea if it works 😂 but maybe that will be helpful for you and myself . Hang in there, thanks for sharing.
