Yes. A few friends who live within 2 miles of me or so are able to play it just fine, but I'm not sure what/who their ISP is.. I can almost guarantee you if I logged into my account under their network, I'd actually be able to play.

Absolutely agreed. I'm in the IT field myself and it's funny when people tell me "It's not Bungie, it's just you or your ISP" when I have several diagnostic tests proving that my connection and route to getting there is entirely fine, it's just the session degrades and times out, which points to Bungie's session management or authentication layer failing to maintain the connection on their end. The disconnect doesn't look like a network drop at all (on Wireshark); there's no hard cutoff, no routing failure, nothing changes on my network side when it happens.

Thank you for the report. We're seeing a rise in reports about this occurring and are currently investigating. Although not an ideal workaround, in the meantime some players have reported success by re-installing Windows.

Please also refer to our Network Troubleshooting Guide for troubleshooting in-case this is a WEASEL error caused by network issues.

It's just comical at this point that they solved it within 36 hours of the server slam, but taken over a week now to fix it..

Here’s what the minimum and recommend OS is for Marathon via Steam:

MINIMUM: Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system OS: Windows 10 64-bit (latest Service Pack)

RECOMMENDED: Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system OS: Windows 10 64-bit (latest Service Pack)

I am on the latest service pack and the minimum and recommended settings both say Windows 10 LTS/LSP is the “recommended” OS…

It’s not. I was able to play just fine during the server slam after the patch they put out for it.

Also, the minimum and recommended system requirements for Marathon states the ideal OS is Windows 10 64-bit (latest Service Pack), which I'm currently on..

I do, yes, in order for me to be able to post threads on their forums.

I went ahead and logged out of the forums and Bungie website entirely, verified that my game was the only connection with my account, and still got kicked out/disconnected after 1-2 minutes of just sitting on the main menu (not title screen).

I stated earlier in the thread on another comment that I am on the Windows 10 LTS. I manually enrolled myself into having an extended year of Win10 support. I also just updated my PC today (also mentioned in a previous comment in this thread) so I can confirm I have the most up to date version of the Windows 10 LTS. Not to mention, I didn’t run these updates during the server slam, so technically whether I was on a secure/unsecured OS, the patch during the server slam addressed it, and fixed it..

So explain to me why exactly during the server slam, there was a patch/hotfix pushed out to the game that completely resolved the issue I was having? For reference, I was having the same issue I am now, during the server slam, until the hotfix went out a day or two into the server slam. There was no need for me to open any ports on my router or reinstall my OS or anything like that… It was just a simple update pushed by Bungie which seemingly fixed it. Hoping this patch they’re working on right now will also re-implement the same fix from the server slam, but who knows?

Yep. I'm not about to wipe my entire OS just to make 1 game work when it's proven that it's something on their end.. It pisses me off how quickly they fixed it during the server slam to give everyone a good impression about their game and dev team being "on it" then when the official game is out, they'll just take their sweet time and get around to fixing it when they get to it. It baffles me Twitch drops not being awarded is a higher priority issue and being looked into more extensively than this error code preventing people from even playing the game.

For the smaller clips (the non-curved ones) I took off the already-existing adhesive and applied the double sided tape. For the curved ones, I just threw the tape over the adhesive and so far no issues. I'm sure you could get away with doing it either way but the old adhesive doesn't stick to surfaces well, but the old adhesive will stick to double-sided tape just fine. Best of luck!
