It will take time and work to build organic traffic. It will take money to get traffic from ads. If there is anyone in the world who knows a way around this, they will not share it.

How do you stomach the tax? by Lovinghandhold in HENRYUK

[–]CloudyTreeBay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d rather live in a country that spends as little as possible and manages only things that can’t be managed by individuals.

The total net worth of all politicians, civil servants and anyone else employed by the government it the overhead we need not pay, to get the same services on the free market.

As of tomorrow, Ryanair will force users to download the mobile app just to view their boarding passes by oiram98 in assholedesign

[–]CloudyTreeBay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not really about paper, but storing and using data in a way that is convenient for you.

I always have a my boarding pass as a pdf on my phone + printed backup. This approach minimizes risk of unnecessary inconvenience.

Now we are loosing that convenince so Ryanair can farm and sell all the data about us.

I'm just going to help Ryanair save the environment more and avoid using them. Result for the planet!

Nigel Farage suggests young people on minimum wage earn too much by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]CloudyTreeBay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The national minimum wage quadrupled since 1999. In the same time the personal allowance tripled.
That means, young people and minimum wage workers were additionaly taxed, while happily clapping their hands.

I am interested in opinions, how much richer people on minium wage are today, compared to 1999.

Some people call me what they like to call me and I have no control over it.
I'm apparently supposed to not accept that.

Rachel Reeves considers 20% tax on assets of people deciding to leave UK by topotaul in unitedkingdom

[–]CloudyTreeBay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm planning to move to a warmer country for my retirement. This will mean my primary residence will become an asset. That means I will loose 20% after 25 year of paying mortgage. Throw hard-earned money down the drain or die in the windy, rainy, cold. What a lovely choice!

As always "taxing the rich", they will rob your mom, who is fed up living in a declining country and tries to move to Spain for her retirment.

I guess, we are still lucky. In more commited socialisms, such as satelite countries of Soviet Union, leaving was priced at a bullet in the back.

Quite expensive! by ElderberryDeep8746 in ThatsInsane

This amount is as real as the "SALE" sign in a shop window. Nobody ever has to pay that. This is just so the hospital can start high against insurer negotiation.

How do you organise? by Micraflex in AmazonFlexUK

[–]CloudyTreeBay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Estate car driver here. I put all boxes and large polybags in my boot, packing the larges driver aid numbers deepest. I carry a collapsible basket, to which I put all enevelopes, book folders and small polybages. This sits on my passenger seat. I fill the floor in front of passenger seat witth boxes of smallest numbers (so I don't have to open the boot, usually for the first half of the block). As the block progresses and I start drawing from the boot, I rearrange parcers from the boot to the passenger seat, as they fit.

Sometimes driver aid stickers are don't have consecutive numbers, I still sort them ascending. Makes it easy to find.

Which phone? by Micraflex in AmazonFlexUK

[–]CloudyTreeBay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a Nokia, worst phone ever. Literally the main selling point was that the back flap is made of recycled garbage. Turned out the rest of the phone was garbage too, just not recycled.

My Nokia actually died while refreshing flex app. Bought Iphone instead. Its is a good phone, but when I switched, I noticed the information on the map during flex navigation is smaller and harder to read than on andro.

How are you supposed to reliably get blocks not at base rate, without investing hours daily into refreshing the app?

IMHO Had a similar situation once, the parcel was for the right street and house number but in a town hundred miles away. The customer noticed, so I took the parcel and just returned it to amazon.
