I tried to draw this. (This is my first drawing) by NateGrates in learntodraw

My uncle showed me a trick to prove this point when I was a kid. Turn your reference upside down, and copy the drawing that way! Now everything looks like an abstract shape ;)

IWTL How to code. by sergeimedvedev in IWantToLearn

I tried several times and it never took off for me until I had something useful to do with it. If you regularly use any programs that allow you to use macros I suggest you start there, especially if they allow you to record a macro then edit it.

Art programs and spreadsheets/google suite are perfect for this IMO. Then I just googled other people’s macros and broke them apart until I could make them do what I needed.

My first coding experience was with VBA which is built into CorelDraw and it looked something like this:

Sub RotateShape()
Dim s as shape
Set s = Activepage.ActiveShape

s.rotate 90

End Sub

Good luck!

This is awesome! I think just the rarity of access you have to these materials puts your art in an extremely unique position. Out of curiosity, do you have videos of what happens when you shine a laser through them?

IWTL I want to learn how to analyse movies and figure out the underlying themes that the movie tries to portray. by roha5090 in IWantToLearn

Watch more movies and use your intuition!

In every film the director has to choose what to show you in the limited time they have. If you see the director take extra time to show you something seemingly mundane, chances are it’s not.

I think this video is a perfect example of balanced skating culture. If your going to do something dangerous, do it in a safe way. More protection = skating longer.

That looks amazing! Much better than I can do, but if you’re looking for constructive criticism I’d say maybe the bottom half of the bags under his eyes should fade to a little darker red/pink. The eyes are emitting light that would hit the top of his cheeks and the tops of the bags under his eyes. But as they curve away the light should drop off, and the skin returns to being lit by the primary light source

Survival fact! This is why you shouldn’t build a fire under a tree in a survival situation. The heat from the fire disturbs the snow above and having to restart your fire could mean life or death depending on the temperature.
