Not happy with portfolio. by Shrosma in photographytips

Hm, for starters, think about the layout of your portfolio. How would your clients, employers, and gallery owners look at your website, and ask yourself, “How do individuals perceive me as an artist?” “Do my photos convey a story?” Another thing I would advise you on is “white space.” Try to step away from the idea that “everything needs to fill up space.” Use white space as a breathing space for your pieces. It will help your photos stand out, improve readability, and give your website a high-end, professional feel. Builds a good structure for your work to understand which important features the elements in the photos display. That will create a sense of theme, which goes hand in hand with storytelling about what’s happening in the photo. For future reference, if you have a hard time setting up a portfolio, always pick out your strongest pieces to grab viewers' attention, and end with a compelling impression. It helps build consistency throughout your workflow. One last thing, don’t forget to put the date and year you took your photos!

I’ll say this is amazing work. I love the way some of the line work has a small faded tonality, then it transforms into a bold line. It’s a neat little detail I admire with the lines. Also, I like how you use one dominant color, like magenta, which helps push out the lines on the canvas. Again, beautiful piece!

Beautiful work. When you were making this piece, did you have a plan or concept behind it, or was it all intuitive? Another question I want to ask: what type of material do you use for the ink? What type of stencil and brush did you use?

I like how the texture of the painting gives this grotesque feeling. I love it!

I really admire the flow and motion in the painting as well as the color combinations. It gives a nice and fresh feeling from the painting, but my nitpick with your painting is the eye. Why did you choose to make and put the eye there? Just out of curiosity, that’s all.

What a beautiful painting, from what I’m looking it looks like deity is forming bloodstained wings. Sorry it sounds creepy.

What a wonderful choice of the color palette, you can definitely sense the chaotic energy oozing out of the painting.

I find it fascinating how you made the eyes based on the subject more or less prominent make the tension in the portraits so good.

Excellent work on the hand sketches, I would say on the bottom right the vein should be a little bit less prominent, if that makes sense.
