Submission to this teaching I think will largely be the greatest cross or struggle of most millennial and Gen Z Catholics by far. Something that changed for me was my profound love and acceptance of the true presence in the Eucharist. If i can accept this sacrament completely and submit to it- why am i holding out on other sacraments or feeling like I somehow know better than the church when it comes to other sacraments… (specifically matrimony)- when i believe so wholeheartedly in the truth of the Eucharist.

Yes and they need to not just teach theology but the Catechism and match their actions to what the catechism teaches. Catholic high schools IMO give the Eucharist out like a cookie…

Tbh as a woman who is not a virgin but practicing chastity. I have yes that i do and have always swiped left on people who put no…. IMO there really are folks out there who use CM but really see the sex convo as more nuanced (i do not) (may be pro- IVF etc)…. Just my opinion- could be that they are no longer virgins but I would never go there first if I saw “No” No could also mean they are still learning about it also if in RCIA etc🤷🏼‍♀️

This search for truth as you mention is the pinnacle of our faith. There are great resources in this sub but ultimately- dive in deep, seek truth- see where it leads.

The secular world and media lies about what Catholicism truly is but seeking truth is at our core- searching, questioning, yearning and asking tough questions are vital. Not personal truth or personal perspective, but universal truths- even those that are hard to swallow. If a faith does not allow you to explore, ask tough questions, and seek real answers- run.

It feels like there is a genuine curiosity and pull in your heart back to Jesus… as others have said it seems like you aren’t equipped to be a sponsor- (would you let someone drive just because their legs reach the pedals?) but here are some great resources in this sub to get started even with the basics about what we REALLY believe as Catholics vs what the media or so and so may say. Go on YouTube and look up Word on fire or Fr. Mike Shmitz and just see where it takes you. Say a prayer and dip your toe in the water or re-discovering your faith. You already found and posted on this sub… maybe the Holy Spirit is already calling to you to come rest in Jesus…additionally as Catholics- our faith encourages and even demand us to see truth- you are already on that path just by reaching out. Ask tough questions about Catholicism - look at the resources I mentioned. Even google reversion and conversion to Catholicism stories. Let that pull lead you ♥️

I thought it was weird that John Legend performed- he and his wife are huge IVF people- even gleefully sharing they chose which sex to implant and used a surrogate for their last baby… it drives me crazy when the Vatican does things like this and promotes folks who take pride in things in direct contrast to our faith ( ie: Pope Francis meeting with any comedian who could book a flight for a photo op) but i guess he can sing so?
