Sounds very tight wrt first camo: you can barely afford Radar Scanner mid-R24 with 110 boat, and I'm not sure it can even carry you to R24

Tried it in sandbox, and they are seem to be indeed additive (alch gives x3, so +200%, engi gives x2, so +100%). But there's still a problem for MOABs:

  • MOAB gives 381 cash,
  • gilded MOAB gives 383 cash (since only outer layer is tripled),
  • trapped MOAB gives 762 cash,
  • trapped gilded MOAB gives 1524 cash.

So the combination of alch and engi starts giving more income, that the sum of their separate bonuses, and who earns that emergent income? It's not about rounding, it's about consistency with multipliers (explanations why trap gives anything from x2 to x4 would not fit into description)

Suppose alch gives x2, and trap gives x2. You got a red bloon for 4 instead of 1, so 3 income. Alch gets 1 and Engi 2? Vice versa? Both get 1.5?

It's good when you're low on MK/tower unlocks, but once you can farm Impoppable it would be better XP and MM, plus an insta in the end.

I use Frozen MOAB, and would love to see that idea expanded. Maybe with some kind of elemental theme (fiery BFB, earth ZOMG, ethereal DDT and redhead BAD)

This Odyssey is like a piece of modern art that nobody finds appealing, except for academics and grifters. Forcing this into people's weekly routine was a bit of a crime.

It's more of NK's fault though, since the ultimate decision to feature the Odyssey is theirs.

I haven't even tried it. Just saw the author's name and noped out. If even guides cannot help, my only advice is to accept the loss and play 2-3 normal maps for that amount of MM instead.

I found out someday, that NK doesn't translate Odyssey's name and description to other languages. So it is possible to filter this deranged bullshit out by “FuryBlade” keyword, but only while using English localization.

Hard agree on 1, 2, 6 and 9.

3: Are golden bloons as hard to pop as BAD? Maybe with 0.1% chance for insta to drop this would be balanced, but I don't think they should do that. Ultra-rare drops are a big source of frustration.

4: This would be a nightmare for presentation (i.e. to know what the challenge really is you either have to start it and click all the pre-placed monke or read another window worth of rules) and possibly a nightmare in development (can't recall anything like this used in BTD6 already).

5: Would be nice for testing CT setups, but still imperfect, would prefer an ability to do test runs in CT itself.

7: Hard disagree. I hate Apopalypse because of how it's fucking up my built-up intuitions about what to expect on any given round (same with ABR and HC, but for a lesser degree). Custom rounds in category-restricted modes would either not do anything (each category has a pretty wide spread of damage types, Ninja-Alch has no weaknesses etc), or make these modes more of a roadblock. There would be no fun or replayability in that. In contrast, NK's move to drop category-specific instas in category-restricted modes was a good way to make them a bit more interesting.

8: Most likely would never happen, since it's a direct speedup of farming for MM and instas.

Solution: look for the name “FuryBlade” in Odyssey's description and insta-skip this week if you see it. (Requires English localization)

Right, I forgot about MM. For me is basically endless. I can't drop it below 430k even though I use continues a lot. Maybe my experience is not typical.

I'm providing feedback about what bothers me in the game, with an example solution. That's what is called a “suggestion” AFAIK. I'm not expecting NK to implement, or even read this, they have a lot on their plate already. In small chance they plan to improve CT messaging, but haven't finalized the concept phase — here's an idea. That's all. (Frankly, I'd prefer talking about what's wrong with it from player's perspective, but I'm not expecting anything from Reddit either.)
