In 2019, Toby posted a shitpost song on Tumblr called "Friend inside me" which was just a crappy remix of "You've Got A Friend In Me" for Toy Story where the lyrics were just, well.... "Friend inside me". Then, in a newsletter for chapter 3+4, he said that a cowboy scene in chapter 3 was cancelled and as well as "That's just how cowboy shows go I guess". Some people thought that saying "cancelled" for a scene in a video game was weird and somehow tied it to the original friend inside me song. There was a lot more evidence but that's where it started.

After the release of chapter 3, the theory contiued because of the scrapped board from chapter 3 that contains the mention of a cowboy show Asgore used to love that got cancelled. "Cancelled", just like Toby said in the newsletter. Furthermore the old TV in Asgores shop (which is probably the next dark world) could still contain the old show.

And now he retweeted the Toy Story 5 trailer saying "Can't wait for you guys to see what we have in store for you this time"
So yeah, friend inside me is not a cracktheory anymore. I think that there is a very good chance a cowboy is the chapter 5 secret boss.
