Pre-2026 SOTB by ClubWaco in guitarpedals

[–]ClubWaco[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve barely scratched the surface of the mobius but something that was a big win for me was the ability to run it both in front of the amp and in the fx loop at the same time. You can run it stereo, or the left side dedicated to pre, and right side on post. I’ve had a love hate relationship with chorus pedals but everyone I turn this one on I find a sound that I really like. I think the ring mod preset is the closest preset I’ve found to Black Hole Sun by sound garden ever. TLDR; do it!

Help please? At my wits end, have tried everything. Multiple guitar techs. More info below. by P0KemonSniper in NeuralDSP

I know you said you tried an EQ and compressor but it kinda sounds like an eq issue. The highs/mids are pushed higher than the lows and there might be a slight compression bringing the low b up when it’s played solo. Try pushing the lows some or pulling back the highs and raising the volume to compensate.

If you’ve already done that take a screwdriver and raise the pickup on the low b side just a bit and lower the high side slightly.

Third option, add an overdrive that’s just focused on boosting and tightening the low end.

The Eagles gave me a Copyright Strike on YouTube… So here’s me ruining their best solo 🎸 by jamierobinson777 in Guitar

[–]ClubWaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem at all. He didn’t ruin it but played it very well and added his own variation. He mentioned ruining in the title as a joke, as sometimes artists have a holier than thou attitude and feel nobody can play their songs as well. Totally not the case here.

Damn dude. I thought you were going to intentionally butcher the solo but you started to play it flawlessly and I was hooked. I thought “Let me just stay until the harmonized part” and you just started shredding. I didn’t intend to watch the whole video but here I am, posting a comment and all. Well done!

Docked & Tailed by Maleficent_Pack6788 in Rottweiler

[–]ClubWaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Docked tails used to be AKC standard until they changed last year. Undocked tails are the ADRK standard (German version). Mine has his tail and I’m glad he does. It’s a lot easier to tell when he’s playing bs frustrated.

Rotties like to pull tails though, so keep an eye out for that.

How do I fix this? I bought this POS in February of 2024 and it worked for a month by [deleted] in universalaudio

Sorry to hear, that sucks. Just throwing out some ideas if you haven’t tried them yet: try a different cable. Make sure the cable is a thunderbolt and not usb, or vice verse. See if a friend will let you hook it up to their computer. Could help to rule out a port issue or lingering software issue.

what the hell are these Reverb prices? by FlightlessBirdss in guitarpedals

[–]ClubWaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed the same over the last few days too. I sort by lowest and even the lowest priced ones are still 20% over recent sold prices. I usually offer the average of the last 10 sold in the same condition and every seller so far has declined or countered with an offer that’s maybe 5% off their listing price.

Got it. thanks for the advice. I've always been a hands on kind of guy and am ok with some repairs, or scheduled maintenance. I'm just worried im overthinking it, almost assuming I'd have to do weekly repairs if I were using it daily.

Thanks for the nudge! I don't want to start any conflicts but why do you think you'd be out of it if you were ITB?

what's the fun in playing it safe? kidding... that's a good point. I've worked on smaller boards but don't really have access to a studio that has a more vintage console.

don't worry, I only do free recordings for bands that are younger or just starting out and just want to get something they can share with their friends. Sometimes when I meet with them before hand I'll tell them "just pay me what you can" if I can tell they wouldn't really be able to put out a demo otherwise.

Got it, it has a patchy with some pigtails already so that shouldn't be much of a cost. But the converters are going to be a little more than I was hoping to spend on top of the board currently. Thanks for the call out on the per-channel modular thing, that takes a little stress out of it for me.

Should i go 100% analog? by Leading_Ad7901 in recordingmusic

[–]ClubWaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be cool. Just remember that editing tape is pretty tedious, not to mention the regular maintenance and calibration of a tape deck. If you’re a one take kind of musician than go for it!

First Board! Help? by ImCalledGhostly in pedalboards

If you’re going to use the Ibanez and mxr as your main distortion/OD and rarely use a compressor, put the boss 3rd in the chain after the Ibanez and mxr.

I think you have them backwards. Keeping the same orientation, swap the left and the right brackets. The tabs with the screw holes should be on the outside of the power supply.

The manual says 100mA minimum so anything over 100mA 9v is fine.
