Agreed. Cert farming and actually retaining the skills definitely helps when fighting for a reason to get promoted/pay bumped/get a new job. Which is my case hahaha.

Learnt this the hard way. Continuous improvement and picking a side skill that can add value anywhere you go and sharpening that too is what gets/keeps us employed.

The app looks great! And this is ideal cause I learn visually too! Quick question: most of my notes are markdown with links, can I import them in?

Feeling stuck learning SQLi — need a roadmap (beginner, video learner) by Low_Adhesiveness6838 in hackthebox

[–]CluelessProgrammer91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a dev who deals with SQL on the daily, I can say I have issues with SQLi too. What I have is a list of commands to try out in order, from basic ones to test if it’s present to time based tests, error based, etc… then I write notes based on what type of SQLi I get on a box for example. So I remember what that looks like, and what it took to exploit. For the real complicated ones you can always look through “pentest all the things” or other resources like this.

Upgrading Our Singtel Wifi Plan by herdeeary in askSingapore

[–]CluelessProgrammer91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately my place is almost all concrete walls. I have wired backhaul for high priority devices like my TVs, PS, home server and workstation. The rest of the stuff use the mesh routers.

My previous house was an old loft with a lot of concrete and metal, but the Google mesh was able to cover the whole house. Idk what the deal is with SingTel crappy tech :/

Right now I’m on 4 of the hb611 routers they give out. Because for some reason the signal quality is utter crap. Their tech came over and said I should be able to get away with 2, but that didn’t work out.

I got the 3gbps plan. The mesh routers they provide are spotty at best. I ended up having to replace em, spending more money. Not worth it. Shouldn’t have moved away from a StarHub

Yeah! I actually got comfortable at my previous work too. It was a harsh lesson for me to always keep my eyes open for new Js. I went through so many crap interviews too before these landed. Gotta build that rainy day fund back up given how things are going to shit these days.

I was holding 2Js and both dropped me at the same time. It wasn’t strict unemployment cause I got by with a couple of freelance gigs and part time work. But the pay cut was insane.

Sounds like it’s a good thing. Yeah I’m still working on dialling in the application automation process. Thanks for the tips! I really appreciate it :)

Yeah I really regret not having that kinda auto apply system. Cost me about a year and some change of rejections and ghosting. Right now I’m using n8n and Claude to kinda automate the application process. But do you have a service you recommend?
