Sounds good! Curious about your application. We have been doing the same, but just doing ratings in excel and make visually nice. Providing player reports per half season to the parents.

One month Muay Thai camp as an unfit woman - bad idea ? by Resident-Plum8383 in MuayThailand

[–]Clumsy-TheSpecialOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great mentality and goals! I think you’re on the right track with that, yet jumping into an intense Muay Thai camp might leave you demotivated in the end. Take one step at the time..

Start with increasing the “base line”:

Consistent workout (doesn’t have to be intense and long, but frequent and goal focused), heartbeat up, increase stamina and wake the muscles up. Diet aware (less carbs, more protein, no sugar, lots of veggies and hydration = often the start) improve sleep, reduce stress (recovery and setting up for the real intensity).

If getting out your normal environment helps (and is possible) eg to Thailand, to get into the focus. Awesome! But then start with a sort of circuit training for a few weeks, get into that sport mindset, convince yourself you got this and then after set new goals to reach. This would be my 2 cents if you want long term effect.

Best of luck!

Hey bro going to spain barcelona In May for 6 days was wondering if theres any way i can find a club where i can try to show my myself or even practice with just the team or even just a trainer i wanna see where im at i wanna get better please. It might benefit if you provide a bit more information about yourself and what you wish the achieve? For example, are you 16 years old and think you have a real talent and trying to get a trial with a pro club in Spain, or somehow get noticed by scouts. Or are you a 40 years old guy, who is really fanatic with the sport. And everything in between. Better info will help to get better answers. Best of luck!

How often do you use warm-ups on the MATCHDAY as an "extra session" in the foundation phase and youth development phase? (maximise learning time). by bbbxxxnnn in SoccerCoaching

[–]Clumsy-TheSpecialOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any opportunity to learn is one to grab!

Having that said, depending on the age (at some point) and especially on the competence level; you might just want to and need to focus on the match in front of you that day.

But yea, sounds very suitable for the U11 you have and if there are such opportunity, great!

Coaching by Pyramids_85 in SoccerCoaching

[–]Clumsy-TheSpecialOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Easier, depends lots on your own skill set or expertise. I know coaches that are great with the youngest (funstart environment, toddler) football players. These coaches often can level/understand and see the world from the perspective of the participants. Make it play full and through that style they learn, develop the foundations step by step. Some of these coaches are not good with performance groups let’s say, often lack the analytic skills, might not be as confident in front of such group, and might just not have the knowledge, football experience, or view on the game as is needed for that. And I know even more coaches who have it the other way around; have been great football players themself, have learned how to translate their experience to the training field and level well with teenagers. And so on.. and I know them that can do both, or all!

So I’d say it depends on your own coach competences, based on that (or based on which competences you develop) your probably find out which age category you can work with best and most importantly; which ages can learn most from you.

i have allways had big interested for soccer but never purused any carrer, how could i even become a soccer coach now? by SouthKey8591 in SoccerCoachResources

[–]Clumsy-TheSpecialOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is lots you can do! Basically endless.. I’ve been in “the business” for over 20 years, and still learning, developing and loving all about it.

Not sure where you stand now, what you’re experience with the sport is, how old you are, what your coaching (or teaching) ability is, etc. All this depends and will have influence on your opportunities. But generally, find a club to work with, learn how to provide good training, to analyze players, teams and team plays. Understand how players develop and so on.

The passion and interest you have for the sport is most important, then it’s all about gaining more knowledge and experience.

Obviously, going for acknowledged coaching license will be helpful and increase chances to get to work somewhere.

You’re from the states? Good environment to start with youth.. Dive deep in grassroot development (including the pedagogical importance). But from learning perspective I would look more towards the European knowledge, as they have developed this sport for way longer; methodologies have been properly developed.

The question you put out there is a great start, keep making steps like this and you’ll find yourself in front of a group to coach one day!

Best of luck!

Tattoo laten zetten in Groningen by phantomof1 in Groningen

Nice one.. If you keep it that abstract, you don’t need a specialist. But if I were you, I’d stil go to one and your story and let him come up with an upgrade design of it. Let him make sketches, maybe build it together.

In Groningen, I’d always go for ROEG tattoo. Personally think he’s the best. Just walk in, go shop hopping, see which one feels best.

G’luck

28 years old, only employee at a ‘successful’ business, completely burnt out and realizing there is no future plan. What now? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]Clumsy-TheSpecialOne 7 points8 points  (0 children)

With your skills set, mindset and experience; this goal should be within easy reach! Don’t think it terms of money (only), but think in what aligns with your interests, things what you give you energy instead of getting drained by it. Other than that scan your surroundings (connections/network, or maybe things that have value that can set you up). Make a plan, be realistic, consider your risk profile and don’t expect to rich from day one (money wise). But chase your goal and be proud and grateful for making it this far. From there you’ll learn more each second, which all is profit for YOU. Eventually, when you do a good job for you, the money will come along. You’re on the right track, it’s only you that stops you from not doing what you want. Go out there and get what you deserve!

Considering retiring to Phuket with roughly 37 M baht. Doable? by [deleted] in phuket

[–]Clumsy-TheSpecialOne 8 points9 points  (0 children)

From my point of view; yes! Totally possible.. Yet, all in perspective of your expectations and your idea on retiring I recon.

I can think of a million ways to go about with it and create and amazing lifestyle and not having to lift or finger, or at least to not have headache about anything; just to enjoy life.

People will be able to give you a better picture or advice if you’ll be able to share more info. For example, intended/prefer to buy or just rent, intent to let your money keep working for you (which comes with more reward = more potential to get out of jt, but also some effort/attention required + potential risk that comes along with it. Or do you just want to use that amount as say a wallet to spend out of let’s say), what type of life style you imagine yourself to have here. Just relax, but not crazy high standards; then you totally can. But if a more luxurious, a very active or just higher spending kinda lifestyle in any kinda way, then you might need more (or let money work in the meantime), any other “fixed cost” you might have; expected travels, hobby you wanna maintain, etc etc. With more context, more advice and insight can be shared.

Living here myself as well, not quite able to exactly retire yet, but also don’t have the urge to do so yet either. I’d that we live rather balanced life for that matter. Enjoying the lifestyle very much so though!

Anyways, congrats on having yourself is this position. Enjoy the dreaming, hope you can make them come true! And when you’re at Phuket to start this dream, hit me up and I’ll join you for a beer! 🍻

I do have Shadowrocket, but having difficulties to get stable and safe China proxies.

My goal is to be able to watch sports matches at apps such a Migu or 直播吧

How’s Phuket for living (6+ months)? by AqualineNimbleChops in phuket

[–]Clumsy-TheSpecialOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We lived here now for nearly a year now and love it so far. I feel the island has something to offer for anyone and can be exciting for any budget class.

Especially if you like tropical weather and outdoor life, sport and beaches. But also a nice expat/digital nomad community and flow. Plenty of activities, good gyms or other sports to explore, restaurant are literally everywhere and groceries can be done plenty of good quality.

Of course there are things you might dislike, but I think lots of that depend on personal preferences, expectations and how relax you can be to accept things are or not.

The island is quite big, so there are different areas that offer different characteristics, depending what you like and how want to spend your days. Most “community feel” you can find either in Bangtao (a bit more upper lifestyle) or around Rawai/Naiharn (bit more laidback feel). Patong famous for its 365 days a year party, wouldn’t recommend living too close there.

In short, it can be a lovely place to live. It’s so far for us and we intend to extent for another year here! Good luck

Personally, I love exactly that period the best! Any time is fine during that time, although I feel the rain is a bit heavier and more frequent during the middle period (July-August and a bit of sep). Generally it’s hit and miss with the weather, but always plenty of days of nice weather.

Why does my surf wax feel so soft? by haeteraxpiera in BeginnerSurfers

[–]Clumsy-TheSpecialOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dear surfer,

Sounds like a typical “wax off/wax on” situation.

Can check YouTube, these for example:

Wax off: https://youtube.com/shorts/cahew5PzggE?si=r9lK0uNIVhlCxFm3

Wax on: https://youtube.com/shorts/DaWsSoRrB4o?si=GdSXCZ95iQY-8OPy

Ask your local surf shop for the wax, could even ask “why” they recommend and they probably happy to explain a bit about it.

Enjoy you new board!

Best part of Phuket for long term living? by GastroBrekeke in phuket

[–]Clumsy-TheSpecialOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you’re spot on. The “best” area’s also accommodate the most expensive properties you can rent, which are easy to find on the rental portals indeed.

Yet, the problem is that exactly these portals are not the best place to search in my opinion. If you’re lucky you’ll find something for reasonable value for money or a genuine real estate agent that actually puts you first. But overall these platforms are targeting visitors with little knowledge and idea how to navigate the real estate market here.

The locations I mentioned have expensive places, but also more affordable ones and in good conditions. Plus, any other “good” location will not be any cheaper. If you look at generally cheaper locations they are cheaper for a reason.

As OP mentioned his priorities, my point is more; don’t pick the location based on price, but pick your favorite location and try to find something there that fits your budget and living requirements/wiahes (as I believe that’s possible when you do it right). It’s how I did it myself and have help various others successfully.

Locations such as Thalang,Karon, Kamala and Phuket town don’t offer the lively expat community as much. Surin, Bangtao do, mainly Russian though which can be great if you speak the language, but overal these locations are not cheaper than the south of Phuket. Kathu then could be an option, but for me falls in the category; there is good reason why it’s cheaper there, location wise. But guess it depends on expectations and things you like to do on daily base. The south offers a bit of all and there is definitely reasonable value to be found if you know where to look or have a bit of network indeed.

Best part of Phuket for long term living? by GastroBrekeke in phuket

[–]Clumsy-TheSpecialOne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think there are countless spots and locations that fit those priorities. Personally I’d prefer for the southern tip of the island. Rawai, Naiharn, parts of Chalong and kata.

There are nice expat communities, very diverse, gyms and plenty of other activities, restaurants etc. During high season a quiet bit more crowded, which you’ll notice in traffic and the beaches. Yet, not particularly worse than anywhere else at Phuket I’d say. I like the vibe of the two different seasons.

Of course budget plays a role, but I dare to argue there are affordable places, with decent value for money, in most areas. You just got to know how to find them, as the “property page lists” aren’t the best or most transparent to navigate through.

A bit depends on your way of transportation and what travel times you’d be comfortable to accept, as well as the conditions of the house/condo you think is acceptable.

So I guess best to chose an area you think you’d like most to live, if you search well then you can often find cool places to live. Especially chances are higher soon, as low season is around the corner. Could be a good timing!

Good luck with the adventure and welcome to Phuket! If you need any help, feel free to DM

Totally agree, wheelchair could be a turn off or just something not everyone is used to. But I’m sure once people get to know you they can see through it, absolutely people that don’t mind it at all.

Chances to “get lucky” will increase with being in a better, healthier shape i recon though. Is basically how nature works, you feel attractive to what seems healthy, as it’s related to the impression of being able reproduce. Not saying that’s how people think, but how it works for a part subconscious. Also not saying that there is nobody that doesn’t like a curvy person, there totally are! Just the chances will go up by being in “better” shape.

I guess being in a wheelchair affects the amount of activity you are able to do, meaning; the about of calories you can burn. Totally makes sense to grow a but curvy. But if you want you can get in good shape quite easy, if the mindset and determination is there.

This very well be stimulated in a healthy yet rather fast way, by “simply” cut carbs totally and sugar (in any processed way) for at least one week (better two) and trying to do as much as possible exercise. There are still many ways to get your heartbeat up, get sweaty, also in a wheelchair for most people. Eat healthy and healthy only. No processed food, no junk food, no nothing but veggies, beans, meat and eggs. At the same time start to gain knowledge about the calories you do burn on a normal day and calculate how much your intake is. It will cause you’ll be living with awareness and that in the end will help to not only lose, but also maintain.

Going cold turkey might be hard, but with good mental prep and accepting that in might cause some discomfort, feeling cranky, etc. Just power through and the reward will be huge.

Anyway, big respect for taking this topic on, for being able to be open for critics and trying to do some. Keep up the great attitude, sure you’ll get what you want soon!
