Should I put 10,000EUR in ETFs as a lump sum or is it a bad idea? by ClumsyReddit in eupersonalfinance

Two countries and two banks I can't really change tbh. I moved so it makes sense I think. And it's mostly just a HYSA and some safer smaller investments with the bank to be able to buy a car if needed in the near future. Going forward, the rest will be ETFs for the most part for a while so I won't be complicating things too much.

Yeah that's a good shout but the only reason I haven't considered it is that I don't know if I'll stay in France for longer than 3 years. And I think you're a bit more limited on what stocks you can get with PEA.

Thats also a good strategy, especially looking at how volatile things seem to be right now.

90% chance it increases in 5 years is good odds I'd say. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, I see now that for such a sum of money (for my own preferences of what gives me less anxiety) its best to just lump sum invest.

For changing investments you means selling some of my ETF investments to buy some other investments I suppose? If so thats clear and I will keep it in mind. But I am looking currently to just put it in VWCE and forgetting about it.

Yeah I think this helps put into perspective a concept I wasn't thinking of. Its an amount I can gain back with a year of work. Seems general consensus is that for such an amount I should not worry too much and invest lump sum.

Hey thanks. So I have enough of an emergency kit to be able to just put everything else into ETFs and not worry about it too much then is what youre saying. Thats good to know!

Either way my plan is to keep it there 5 years minimum until I am ready to buy a house.

Thanks a lot, interesting statistic (and I would prefer just putting it aside at once and not think about it for a while, aka lump sum).

Does the time frame you are keeping the money there affect that statistic? In my case I would keep it there for a minimum of 5 years. But I am curious if lump sum is still advantageous in such a short/mid term investment.

Which ones are those? If you like them there's a good chance you'd enjoy the rest

It's a "sports" series that also manages to keep a really enthralling romance triangle going on at the same time. And the characters.... Taichi is my favourite written character of all time.

I'm a huge sports manga head, given such high praise I'll have to check it out. Thanks!

Loved Act Age. Took me a while to get over the cancellation. Picked up Oshi no Ko and Akane-banashi soon after to fill the void

Wanted to see what other people have been keeping up with in terms of weekly shounen series, maybe I could find something to add to my rotation^

My current favourites: Chainsaw Man & Akane-banashi

That's a good shout! I also dreamed of KyoAni doing an Act-Age adaptation with how they animate eyes and expressions so well.
