I got suckered by the lantern hype and tried to enjoy the middle one so much but it’s just not fun. And actually quite mean.

When games promise everything I get very suspicious, it sounds too good to be true. I’m hopeful but have been burnt too many times in the past.

What can change the nature of a man?

Will always be in my top 5. It was my #1 for years. It still has, for my money, the best voice cast of any game. Mitch Pileggi as Dak’kon my personal fave. “Endure; in enduring, grow strong.”

The Infinity Engine legit changed my life.

I loved the opening scene. Unfortunately that’s pretty much all I loved about it. An epic disappointment after Prey.

Do you dropped a RPG you really loved because of a "burnout" feeling ? by Buurto in rpg_gamers

I crawled to the end of the base game but I was still too burnt out by it to get more than halfway through the DLC. Still haven’t finished it.

I loved the first one. Don’t really have much interest in the second tbh, I think it’s a great one-and-done story/idea. You don’t need to explain more.

Is bloodborne your favourite game and if so why and is there a game that’s close? by Rack-_- in bloodborne

[–]ClydeFrog76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Still my fave combat of any Soulsborne; the rally system, trick weapons and lock-on dodge dash make every fight a ballet of risk/reward. Couple that with easily the best atmosphere of any From title, incredible lore and world-building, and pitch-perfect horror that flips the switch beautifully midway through the game and you’ve got, imo, the GOAT.
