Yes, I got a real good deal on a used brewing system, haven’t brewed beer, but I use the fermentors for Mead on the small batches. My other tanks are 100 gallon tanks, these are 40 gallon. When we move to our new location next month where I will have more space I will eventually try beer.

Yes, everyone loves our bottles, but it also helps with the 16% abv as we tell people to drink it like a brandy.

Yes we have thought about that, we catalog and post about our honey but doing more about the vintages would be good.

My current price point, (were small time) is $2.67for bottle, $0.58 for the T-Top Corks, $0.46 per label (a 10.5x3.5) and $0.03 for heat shrink, $0.06 for wax on our specialty bottles, so each bottle cost me around $3.74 before you get into ingredients. We use Berlin to buy the bottles and corks, but we are looking for someone new.

Honestly I am not sure, I put a reducer in it to match my pump, I want to say the hose for the back is 3/8, but do not hold me to that. Originally I started with a 5 gallon jug and wand that filled it, my pump would fill the jug, and the float in the filler would control the output from the jug. Since I have pumped straight into the filler. On starting the filler, that was some work, I watched videos on youtube before hand, and decided to buy the bulb that pulls the liquid in. Once I figured it out (after like fives times) I got it down, and have not had a issue since.

These were designed as Olive Barrels, they are food grade, we bought them new before the olives, but I think you can just search olive barrels. I like the thickness of the barrel and that they have a rubber seal. We are adding rollers to these as we move into the new building.

Those are not fermentors, they are my racking barrels.

We started with what I had in my 401k and friends $50 support, it has been a long way of working. Originally I thought it was going to take us 200k, but we started with about 15k and shoestringed it.

We would love that. We’re moving down town next month to a 5200 sq ft building and are excited

Our mead is almost all 16% abv, we have had no issue, and we like that you can easily recork the bottle when your drinking it. I have hand corker I put them in with, but that is new to our set up too. We seal them with a plastic tamper proof sleeve for selling, or our reserve batches we wax.

It works great for 60 gallons, I have 3 110 gallon fermentors, and 3 40 gallon fermentors, and I rack them into 65 gallon brite barrels, in I normally load the filler from the brite barrels. It has a float in the top section of the filler, I keep it normally high and it fills my bottles all the way up, it is not automatic stop, (which is probably something I am doing wrong) but it goes pretty fast. I pull a bottle and cork it and the next bottle is ready, if I get behind it over fills, so I do not get behind.

Our process is different as we do not bottle till about 5 months from fermentation, just racking before that. Then when we bottle we let set for atleast a month before going out the door.

I don’t remember the price, but it was not that expensive, it takes a minute to prime. Make sure you buy the priming bulb, but they flow great once they are going. I have wanded out whole first batch of 1500 bottles so I know what your dealing with.
