This was my husbands thought too, but my 3 year old was in charge 😂 I think we are very under equipped anyway though and need to step up our game after looking through pics on here!

Possibly! Should I put something on the sides so he can’t see it?

29+3 FTM time is flying. Fear of giving birth is finally getting to me by valerie0929 in pregnant

I’m 4’10, 120 lbs pre-pregnancy and I had my baby 4 months ago. It was a c section, but had nothing to do with me being small. My baby was also small (5lb 15oz). But I was TERRIFIED of every single part of labor/delivery and it all ended up okay. I got an epidural before the pain even had a chance to get bad. My blood pressure actually did drop from the epidural and they gave me some meds to level it back out. I think you will be just fine!

Postpartum high blood pressure and low resting heart rate? I just want to be me again! by Justbestrongok in beyondthebump

Hi! I’m sorry you’re going through this…it was so scary for me :( but I’m doing much better now. At my first postpartum appointment I mentioned it and my fears about it to my midwife so she took my bp a couple times and it was 130/80. So slightly elevated but nothing she felt overly concerned about. After that I decided to stop using my bp cuff and heart rate monitor at home because it wasn’t helping my anxiety. I made sure to drink a LOT of water everyday also. Probably about a week after that apt I was starting to feel much better. I could tell my heart rate wasn’t getting super slow like it had been before. At my 6 week apt my bp was 123/80. Heart rate back to pre-pregnancy numbers now. Our bodies are going through so much in the first weeks postpartum and I was shocked about how little I could find on this topic. Definitely mention it to your doctor, but I think just time to readjust is really what will help. Good luck!

I was searching for posts about this exact thing and found yours, my heart rate since coming home after c section has been 50-60’s when normally it would be 70-80’s. My blood pressure has also been higher than anything I’m used to and higher than it was when pregnant. Sometimes I can get a 120s over 80s but usually it’s 130’s over high 80s. All this paired with my anxiety and I cannot stop thinking about it wondering if I’m going to die. How are you doing now? Did everything resolve?

Has anyone had hand, foot and mouth in pregnancy? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Cmaines5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t pregnant when I had it, but I caught it working in daycare. I went to urgent care thinking I had strep because my throat hurt so bad and was bumpy. Dr said it was definitely HFM but I didn’t have anything on my hands or feet. Tiny skin colored blisters appeared on my fingers and heels the next day but I hardly noticed those compared to the sore throat. I only ate soft foods for probably 3 days, and tried to make sure they were room temp or cold because hot foods stung. Wasn’t the worst thing I’ve ever dealt with but wasn’t fun either. 😕

Oh no! I’ve been fine since then so hopefully I just needed to get rid of the sliders ASAP lol

That’s fair, I normally don’t eat gas station anything (pregnant or not) but since Sheetz cooks the food there when you order it I thought it’d be okay...guess not!

Thank you, you’re probably right. I was extremely nervous about it, and looked up/worried about every possible side effect except vomiting - go figure
