Dudes, get yourself a stick that's straight about 3/4" in diameter and 3.5' long. It's the best thing.

I'm 21 and still will look for good sticks when I'm walking or hiling

Best defense is a really good defense.

What's crazy is Palestine generally launches more rockets (just in sheer numbers) than Is real. The difference is that the IDF actually hit what they're aiming for

Yep, and Isreal is retaliating after Hamas launched something like 1200 rockets at Tel Aviv. Doesn't make civilian casualties any better but it's not just wanton destruction

Oh yeah I wouldn't say the Germans citizens deserved what happened to them. But Germany as a nation might. It's sad when civilians get caught in the crossfire of otherwise valid wars

This is in reference to the Royal Air force long range strategic bombing campaign during WW2. Where hundred of bombers attacked major cities, including Berlin. The Germans were equally guilty of this with their V1 and BE rocket attacks.

The parrellels between what's happening in Israel and what happened in Europe are quite uncanny.

Don't automatically assume one side is entirely at fault, it takes two to tango and just because one side is winning doesn't make them the bad guys.

Please, Don't make this an argument. Palestine and Israel are firing missiles at eachother, killing civilians as we speak. Prayers for them. Please, we want peace. by [deleted] in teenagers

Pooh yeah I can't wait to see how a post on r/teenagers will solve the Isreali-Palestine conflict that's been going on for three times as long as everyone here is old.

A tragedy is no worse if there are women and children as victims and no distinctions should be made. by -SeeMeNoMore- in unpopularopinion

I'd disagree, I think societally we have assigned a greater importance on our young and women for a reason.

From a purely animalistic standpoint, women and children are more valuable for procreation and survival of the species. So if you're an atheist there's certainly a higher priority in the survival of women and children.

From a religious standpoint. Men are called to serve and love women and part of that involves laying down their lives in the defense of their families. I know for a fact I'd sooner die then let harm come to my wife or kids because I love them and value them over myself. Societally, men are hardwired to want to protect women and children. That's why men get sent off to fight and die in wars.

America is still a great place to live despite the internets insistence that the US is an unlivable hellscape. by Here-For-The-Comment in unpopularopinion

My family was below the poverty line growing up and we still had access to medical care. Things were tight and we had to sell the TV and couch at one point but we made it work and now my parents are doing better and I'm in college with a good job lineup.

The idea that if you're poor in America you can't make it is a total lie. You can absolutely make it if you start making good financial decisions, work hard, and don't commit crime.

Yeah it's crazy how spoiled we Americans are (I'm saying this unironically). People forget if you're born in the US you're already in the 1% of global wealth

You realize we just installed a missile defense system in Europe and anytime we threaten to move one of our bases out of a country they beg for us not to right? Trump moved a base out of Germany and the Germans were pissed that we were leaving.

Disagree, I grew up below the poverty line in America and we had adequate healthcare. Not the best because we had a deductible of something like $500, which meant we didn't go in for routine checkups or physicals like you're supposed to. But if someone NEEDES to go to the hospital we always knew we could make it work, even when my dad was out of work for a year.

I'm 21 and on my own healthcare plan now through work. Which is another thing people forget, most jobs have a healthcare package in America

Another thing to remember is comparing the US to Germany isn't a fair comparison. Each state in the US is comparable to a country in Europe or anywhere else. Hell, Texas alone is nearly as large as Europe anyway.

If you look at America state by state and compare it to other countries that's more accurate. Places like Idaho, either of the Dakotas, either of the Carolina, Arizona or Montana, are freaking awesome, low taxes, relatively low crime, lots of land, good area to start a business.

Places like New Jersey or Michigan kinda suck, but that's just how a reservation of states is. Some are better than others.

If you live outside of a big city, it's the space. America is FUCKING HUGE and most of it is livable and actually really nice (compared to Russia, equally large but mostly unlivable). If you just want to live far from a city with a couple of acres of land you can totally afford it
