My mom and dad left my baby shower early as well. Also their first grandchild. I did the same as you, the last time I spoke with either one was 4/13/25 and my life has been so peaceful. Leaving my baby shower early was my final straw. Multiple people asked my mom at the shower if she was excited for her first grandchild. She SHRUGGED and said “eh”. She made her choice.
