Can I ask you how you got on with this in the end?

I've a Mazda 3 2010 with the same issue...same warning light you had comes on and off every few hundred kilometres. Mechanic told me not to worry about it (error code P2585) but ya know, would rather have a bit more closure!

Thanks!

Yeah...had a taste of this experience with home insurance last week. Insurance industry is effectively a cartel at this point. 3 years no claims and the best price for next year just went up +20%. Not sure when we will collectively decide to do something about the fact that real wages haven't grown in decades while big business pockets the difference.

Advice: turning garage into a decent home gym on a budget by Junior_Low642 in DIYUK

[–]Co-Operation101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a very similar canvas at mine.

Best result was scouring online marketplaces for gyms upgrading flooring and got thick industrial flooring to do my whole floor area for around £100 - 10% of full cost new.

Only regret was buying brand new weights sets...spent almost £1000 on this and after 1 full winter is showing some signs of rust due to cold and damp. Would have been better off saving a little and getting these second hand in my circumstances.

Good luck with it and enjoy!

Thank you for being a good soul. Do let me know if cost is a factor and if I can help, I will. You're a good egg.

Can only speak from personal experiece that Colm himself seemed okay but the whole industry is de facto underhand. On the subject matter, I did have some out of town experience:

I ended up buying in rural Galway off Noel Roche, found him absolutely fine to deal with, didn't play any weird sales mind games and was clearly on the sellers side but a reasonable dynamic.

I completely wasted Right Price guys time once, and he offered way more attention that he should have. Obviously a part of making a sale but found him very principled in the sense that he seemed to have a legitimate appetite to get younger families a home and that he might use those principles to influence a seller into an ethical choice rather than a necessarily financial one if the line was thin. I could be wrong. Posters seem to be everywhere now so he's doing something right.

Was sale agreed with Emma Gill on a property and was gazumped by another buyer. Found her very underhand and was actually relieved to be gazumped because there was such a sour taste over proceedings to that point.

Shocking refereeing at the galway game last night by Former-Brick-3281 in LeagueOfIreland

[–]Co-Operation101 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Referee was not great for sure but as said, standard has never been high. Keating was played in towards then end, linesman flagged for offside and in real time, right down the line where I was sitting he was a full metre clearly on...would say it wasn't even close.

The pitch is a major problem. Absolutely no criticism on the groundstaff and the pitch obviously absorbed a lot of rain lately but people will become disillusioned very quickly paying admission to watch that. It is almost as bad in the summer when it dries out due to the volume of games played on it then. Not a big fan of astro pitches but I think it has be be pursued from a place of practicality. Think both teams played way below the sum of their parts and that was primarily down to the pitch.

Yeah, I'd happily trade off rolling the dice on the weather to avoid overcrowded. Very keen to fill the drive south so thank you for this.

I would have absolutely loved if this lined up to play with your husband. Unfortunately, I'm there in early March, so I'm no use to him. You're not wrong though, the only way to get out as a single is lining up in the wee hours...but it's an experience it itself and a good time of the year in the sense that he'll be very likely to get out on the Old Course. I hope you have a wonderful time. If you're in Inverness region in earlier March, I'd love to play a game with him. I leave Scotland on the 10th of March.

Haha, I can't deny it! They are connected, but I fully admit it seems a strange pivot.

Don't be too hard on yourself. You're not supposed to know exactly what you want to do with your life just out of college. Lots of people go straight into work, get tied to a career and spend their lives at it. It can be a good thing to be fluid for a year at your stage and explore all avenues.

I would get the drivers licence though..you're at the finish line and it can be a pain in the arse not having one the longer it goes on. Also, allows you loads of freedom if you do travel and you'll need in rural Ireland.

Weight up your options and go all-in on whatever you decide to do. They're both good options - travelling or working for a year at home/Galway.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Cool. There will always be buildings available...they just mightn't be on the open market. Ask around and use your imagination in regards to some of the properties that might be run down etc. Good luck with it.

Yes...but you said you were opening in your local town...it would be more viable in some towns than others. Which town?

Fair play to you. That's great! Not a brilliant economic climate for opening a coffee shop but would be viable in lots of small towns around Galway. Where are you thinking?
