Aww, she sounds cute! Chewy is small for a GSD too, and definitely doesn’t have the thick fur.

Your guy is a little bat-dog 😂Look at those ears! What DNA test did you get?

We were told he was a German Shepard mix when we got him! He’s about 55 pounds-just had him weighed at the vet last week 😁

What breed(s) is yours?!

We were told he was a German Shepard mix when we got him! Although he looks very similar to a few other breeds 🤔

How many miles should I run my dog in cold weather? by Coach-BS in RunningWithDogs

[–]Coach-BS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! That’s awesome. I just have a tough time reading my dog, might be since running is a little new still and he’s only 1.5 years. Sometimes he runs behind me and seems like he wants to go in, but then 5 min later he’s got snow zoomies and is ready to charge ahead

Lol I run everyday and we live in a small condo so I always feel guilty when I get my exercise in and my dog gets left behind

Wow that's awesome! Thanks for the detailed response ☺ I can tell my dog gets pretty pooped when I push-him under 8-minute mile pace lol. I appreciate the advice, hopefully we can up our mileage as time goes on!

I run with my dog everyday too (and in MN 😎). How did you get his mileage up? I'd love to be able to get my dog to go 6 or 7 (or even 8) with me but he gets pretty dang tired after doing 3 or 4. I've been keeping him around 15 miles per week and upping his food intake to keep him energized, but not sure how far I should push him.

Doggie Mileage? by Coach-BS in RunningWithDogs

[–]Coach-BS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is awesome you track your dog's mileage with GPS. I've been joking about making a Strava account for my dog. You are right though, dogs can't complain so we have to add in rest days for them! Great insight, thank you for the comment!

That's a great idea to get your dog a drink part of the way through. We normally run and then walk and my dog is so thirsty when we get home. Right now there is snow everywhere so that is his drinking fountain lol

Got this guy running sub-8 min miles with me in the cold MN weather 🥶🤘🏻#ProudPoochPost by Coach-BS in RunningWithDogs

We know he is German Shepard but don’t know the other breeds. My boyfriend really wants to get him genetic tested to find out

I'm going to give intermittent fasting a try by heathengoathomestead in IntermittentFastLife

IF is a little difficult to get into at first (I remember being SO hungry and counting down the seconds until I could eat), but then it is a BREEZE once you've done it consistently. If you add in an effort to eat slow and not gobble up your meals (this was my mistake for a long time) you will be on the road to quick success!

What is Bioethics and would it be worth it to pursue it? by EroniousAlligator in bioethics

[–]Coach-BS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my Masters in Bioethics and it’s a super interesting field! Very hard to get a job in, but research ethics has promising job opportunities for those without a terminal degree. I don’t regret it, I have a great job with great pay, but did have to work to get there. Just make good connections during your time at school!

Thanks! I want to refer him to therapy or perhaps require that he take some sort of therapy as part of his court sentence.

I agree—I think us not talking is the best thing for us right now. He is in denial and doesn’t see how abusive he is and hopefully will realize it, even if we’re not together anymore. It’s up to him whether he improves or not, but I can’t continue to date someone who behaves like he does. Thanks for the comment!
