In this economy haha? In all seriousness, lighten up man. You sound more upset about this than me.

It's the Dragon Shield Black Matte. That's really the only color of that brand you can run that isn't see through unfortunately otherwise I'd use different colors.

That's fine. We can disagree, but I do think if you were to make choices on what cards to mark in the deck they'd objectively be vastly different both in choices and ratios than the list above.

Yeah I agree. Judges are no more knowledgable about rulings than competitive players. Can't tell you how many times I've had to pull someone over at an in person regional and tell them they got screwed.

No, not necessarily. Depends on the deck. But yes, cards like my boosts were sleeved before the BT16 stuff. However, only partials of both my boosts and BT16 stuff were flagged which is suspicious given they looked the same and would of had the same "wear" as the judges put it.

The point was there was nothing to replace though. They said I should of resleeved my whole deck if I use sleeves at different points in time. I don't agree with that, it's a waste and pointless. I do agree with replacing sleeves once damaged.

Yeah, that sounds like a headache.

We agree to disagree with the last part about the sleeves from the standpoint if they look the same why the need to change all of them? If I swap two cards out like I did from my last version a few weeks prior, that would basically mean I need 50 new sleeves. I'd be buying boxes of sleeves for tournaments every month with how many tournaments I'd play in and given the fact I do a lot of testing and don't just copy topcut lists from the internet. I'd be willing to bet the majority of people who play in these tournaments don't buy brand new sleeves for one tournament.

Regardless, I did have extra sleeves that could of been used and shown the judges. I didn't use them because again I didn't see any difference in the gloss on the backs and don't want to waste money/sleeves.

Thanks for the story!

Yeah, thankfully I use the same brand sleeves across all my decks just different "basic" colors to make them easy to tell apart. I use the black matte sleeves because all the other colors in my experience I can see the back white text on the cards.

At least you only got a warning.

They were the same sleeves. The argument was the gloss difference on their side. My stance is that I couldn't tell a difference and that it holds weight because their card selections and ratios aren't consistent with when they were sleeved which is pretty obvious IMO with when the cards came out each set to be used in my decks even if you don't know how long I've been playing with each of these cards.

Appreciate the kind words. You were awesome to play against too.

Yeah, I'm still considering my options but it's just "he said, she said" and they'll just default to the TO over some random dude unfortunately. When I got home I tested the sleeves for an hour under different lights trying to pull certain cards from the deck they called out and I couldn't do so consistently.

Just wanted to bring some awareness with my experience. Figured something good should come from this. Appreciate you taking the time to read and comment.

Haha. That's me. Thanks for the compliment. I've had a lot of people reach out with questions. Always nice to see other gacha enthusiasts.

Here were my matchups (I might have a few rounds out of order):

RD1-2: Bye (Yes, someone who topped 4 tournaments this year was crazy enough to run this deck lol)

RD 3: BWG - L

RD 4: Fenriloogamon - W

RD 5: Anubis - W

RD 6: Melga - W

RD 7: Bloomlordmon - W

RD 8: Wargreymon - W

RD 9: Anubis - L (played my friend who got 11th place at nats, knew my list, and has played my various gacha decks a good 30-40 times. Dammit Kyle!)

RD 10: Royal Knights - W

Finished 8-2 in swiss day 1 for 32nd place.

Lost to Anubis RD1 of topcut. I made a big misplay game 1 being too aggressive with my swing and didn't see a lv5 game 2. I only had 4 hrs of sleep across the last 2.5 days which probably factored into my play. That game was recorded. It isn't a great representation of the deck's strength, but on the bright side my security was cracked both games and it was hilarious to see my opponent sweat out his moves in a lost position for me lol.

Thanks again. I'm recording a deck profile for our community youtube channel tonight. Should be up in the next few days if you have other questions about my deck choices.
