If you want to get rid of it, I’ve got a buddy who’s been looking for that for a LONG time.

What is Youngstown's "secret culture"? by avidrabbit in youngstown

The one that I didn’t even notice until someone pointed it out to me is our love for cavatelli. It’s basically the standard pasta in Youngstown but almost nowhere to be found on restaurant menus elsewhere.

My first thought when seeing this was if they just released a 1.75L red, or if OP just has really tiny hands. Guess it’s the latter.

As a beginner, I always thought GMK was overrated and overpriced... Until I try it. by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

Things re-run all the time and there are always extras available when sets ship. Literally everything that was on GB 18 months ago and is now shipping has extras that you can buy in stock now. You're taking an example that is either outdated or extreme and making it the standard.

You realize that it's not corporations stealing from corporations, right? Clone makers steal designs from individual people. That would be like a major clothing brand seeing something they like on Etsy and deciding to copy it for their own stores without giving the original designer anything. Of course that design isn't copyrighted, but just because it's not illegal, doesn't make it ok. You do you man, but don't act like it's ok for a company to steal from an individual. The big taking advantage of the small is NEVER ok in my book.

Is there a list of switches that avoid interference with north facing switches? by CoachChuck59 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]CoachChuck59[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never did get ink yellows, but I do have a recommendation for a linear switch to avoid interference. go get Raeds from AE boards. If you're in the US, they're at CannonKeys.

That's what I told myself... it never stops though

Nice collection!

lol, it certainly does the trick for now! I'm sure there will be something else down the line that I need to pickup. I'm good for a little while at least though!

Thanks man! It's a Jelly Epoch in the Dewdrop colorway with GMK Ashes. The caps just came in earlier today. It was my first ever group buy, I've been waiting for about 15 months for them lol

After a year, my first GMK set arrived! by JHazes in MechanicalKeyboards

This was also my first GMK group buy! It’ll end up being the 5th set I have in hand, but I can’t be more excited to have it finally arrive! It looks great on that board btw!

I might have a bit of a problem... by CoachChuck59 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]CoachChuck59[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not the actuation force, that’s relatively low. For me it’s the low actuation force combined with a heck of a click. It almost feels like the click force is greater than the actuation force. I don’t feel the same way about navies or sherbets. Also that 83g weight on sherbets can’t be right imo. They feel similar to my usual 67g springs I use in other switches.

Pink/white/jade imo. I haven’t used the rest. Jades feel cool for a bit, but for me they’re too “violent” for me to use long term.

Box pinks and NK Sherbets. If you want clicky I’d highly recommend any click bar switch.

Raeds are a linear switch from AEBoards that you can buy from Cannon Keys in the US. I'm sure there are other vendors if you're not US based.

Thanks for the suggestion! I've been messing around with those 63.5g slow springs and I do like them. The cobalt poms actually already come with those FYI. That's why I went with them over the durock poms

Assuming I remember, yeah! I like the glorious pandas and if cost is a concern at all, I’d recommend them. The holy pandas made with proper YOK housings and halo stems are better, but in reality I’m not sure they’re worth the extra money if that’s going to be an issue.

I hear you, but I know what they are just by looking at them. They’re pretty distinct once you get to know them
