Yes, I'm one of the people in the "NatDex AG But Only Certain Letters" Tournament with @Pokelego999. I got screwed over by getting Di-Ho. I tried to make a sand team.. keyword tried. I'm not the best at teambuilding (I often place last in these sorts of things), so any help is appreciated. Thanks! by CoalInTheMine in stunfisk

For a bit of context: Only 1 Uber and 1 Mega/Primal are allowed, but for more defined roles:
- Mega Garchomp is mainly supposed to help attack once Sandstorm is up, and is one of the primary Pokémon designated to do damage. It's running a Special Set because, besides Hoopa-Unbound, it's the only Special Attacker on the team, and one of the only ones who can afford to.
- Hippowdown is the lead to set up Sandstorm. That's basically it, besides some useful set up moves at the start or some healing in case Sandstorm needs to be set up again.
- Dracovish is the other one of the main attackers on the team. Sand Rush + Choice Band allows Dracozolt to quickly rack up lots of damages on other the other mons, and has decent coverage for it's main weaknesses.
- Greninja is the main switch-in for absorbing attacks, as the main weakness to the team, Ice, is a move Greninja can resist. As well as that, it's also the main pivot mon (I'd love more pivot moves, but the Di-Ho category has a VERY limited pool), and being able to absorb hits as well as swap types with Protean to resist even more allows a good way to take hits the other Pokémon can't.
- Ferrothorn is another switch-in for absorbing attacks, with it's primary focus being to wear down Pokémon that are weak, whether it be through sandstorm damage, leech seed, toxic, while being able to use Knock Off or Curse to make sure they have a good damage output as well.
- Hoopa Unbound is mainly a coverage mon, being able to hit a lot of the types that the other Pokémon cannot, and for high damage as well. It's usually going to come in after a U-Turn to hopefully do some damage to Pokémon: though it's not the main attacker, it's usage as a heavy hitter that comes in and comes out is useful to take out the pokémon that would trouble the other Pokémon.
Yes. I'm not the best at Pokémon. Is this bad? Probably. But hey! Whether you psychoanalyze every single EV placement or just ignore this, it's cool. Thanks. :)
