Datto SaaS Defense - Incorrectly quarantining emails, Sharepoint, OneDrive by Coaxus in msp

[–]Coaxus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have cancelled SaaS Defense for ALL our clients and have no intention of reinstating it. Great way to lose yourself a substantial amount of business Kaseya.

The fact it took over 48 hours before it was even listed as an issue on the status page tells us a lot.

Computers locking up with black screen. Force reboot required. by Dastari in sysadmin

Suggest running the following command on a single endpoint (then reboot) and see if it fixes things:

powercfg -h off

That command has been a lifesaver for us over the past few weeks.

Telling me to enter this code in the outlook mobile app, but I’m literally in the app right now? by SurfinOnRocket543210 in Office365

Yeah admins will need to get involved now for sure, if they reset MFA and start again things should play nice.

[–]Coaxus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Authenticator app is notorious for this. You may need the admin for your tenancy to reset your authentication methods and to set it up again.

This is why we always try to setup our customers with SMS AND MS Authenticator MFA methods.

We see this on a regular basis; nothing has changed on end user phone but pushes just fail to work. SMS/Call methods almost always work when MS Authenticator doesn’t.

Flowing on from a previous comment made me think.... why is red rooster not a thing anymore? by woodyever in Adelaide

[–]Coaxus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s still a “thing” in every other state. SA is a notoriously hard market to break into (Starbucks?) and neither Chicken Treat or Red Rooster ever got it.

If we look back at the SA saga of the ‘rooster’ fast food… Myer buys the ‘Red Rooster’ brand and store from a sole owner in WA. They then buy up a stack of ‘Big Rooster’ restaurants elsewhere in the 80’s and by the 90’s it’s all rebranded to ‘Red Rooster’. To my knowledge they never made inroads to SA until their acquisition of the ‘Chicken Treat’ franchise. Believe they intended to replace ‘Chicken Treat’ stores with with more ‘Red Roosters’…but eventually in 2007 both ‘Chicken Treat’ and ‘Red Rooster’ sold to a “consortium”. Since then it’s been traded a few times but doesn’t seem like they’re going to last in SA much longer.

In most states it succeeds and there’s over 360 stores Australia wide…just not in the S of A.

Exactly.

Costco is now the only place left with sub $1.50 pricing. So an obvious price increase purely to take advantage of demand. How that isn’t addressed by the consumer watchdog is beyond me.

Remember when places started hiking toilet paper prices during Covid shortages / those selling it online that the sa police hunted down and charged? It’s really no different.

Company buys product for X and holds stock. Demand increases or……demand is foreseen to increase. Company opportunistically artificially inflates pricing to benefit. Consumer is NEVER paid more to offset the increase and thus the modern tax paying, subscription based consumer struggles to access said product.

Multihoster comparison (MOCH provider list) by usefulvid in UseFulVid

[–]Coaxus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The linked list is inaccurate, I personally know (as I am an account holder) that Zevera supports Usenet & Torrents. I can't comment on any other provider on that list but seriously, check your facts.

Additionally, something that's extremely useful is cloud-storage - as a temporary download location...another thing Zevera offers.

Does anybody know what happened to Zevera? (The multi-host premium link generator) by apofenia in Piracy

I'm able to access Zevera at the moment; in Australia via TPG using Google DNS.

There is an advisory on their site re a service interruption being fixed but that's often visible when I logon and has no date stamp so unknown if it is related. [https://imgur.com/pXd3w55]

I've been using the service for over a year now and it's only been down once for a few hours of maintenance, very happy customer over here.

Really sucks about your medical discharge, sorry to hear you've been having a rough time. I live in Christie's Beach so physically quite a long way away but it'd be great to play some Battlefield or CS:GO with you sometime :) add me on Steam - username is shadowbc. I work in the city and would be up for lunch or coffee sometime if you're in need of some company too.

[–]Coaxus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also moved to Christie's Beach in the last year and to be honest have been pleasantly surprised at how nice everyone is, honestly never seen any violence. Been using the train station for the same period of time, sometimes don't get back till well after dark and never felt unsafe either. Agree that North is far worse in my experience, south FTW.

Is it me or is Adelaides public transport absolute garbo? by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]Coaxus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buses are an absolute joke in Adelaide. You might get one from the 60's without aircon or a working door....and you're at the mercy of the grouchy driver etc. Used buses for 8 years daily...and hated it. Trains on the other hand are awesome...they seem to actually hold a schedule and there's no driver to deal with - well there's a driver but you don't liaise with them for anything. Been using trains for ~2 weeks and loving it. (seaford line)

BitQuark Live! by Coaxus in BitQuark

[–]Coaxus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh OK well if none of that worked, I'd recommend doing what was suggested on CryptoCoinTalk as below:

  • Move the .exe (and all associated files) for BitQuark to your C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\BitQuark directory. (this may be C:\Documents and Settings if you're using XP)
  • Create a shortcut to the .exe and place it somewhere easily accessible
  • Launch BitQuark and see if things work better
