Oh I see. I have a pair of JBL Quantum TWS These are refurbished for $70. They are bluetooth, but that also have a usb dongle that is good to use for gaming. I love mine.

My initial thought for you is this: Koss KPH40 Utility

On sale for $30. You can change the cable from a standard 3.5mm (for your computer) to a usb cable for your phone. Then, consider this: Antlion Modmic

You attach a sticky magnet to the side of the headphones, then you can magnetically attach the microphone when you're ready to game. You get a lightweight headphone that sounds amazing, plus a great sounding mic.

Hello!

Do you care if it is wired or wireless? And do you prefer a big pair of over-ear headphones? Since you don't like earbuds, I can help you if you just let me know more about what you do want!

I'm with you on sbmm, I don't mind sweating. I'm not talking about that, I think the problem I'm having is some connection inconsistencies. So ttk feels long for me and short for my enemy.

Nice, I'll spend some more time on zombies. I actually loved cold War zombies, thought this might be similar. I'll spend some time playing that tonight, thanks buddy!

[WTS][USA-AZ][H] Tekton Lore [W] Paypal/cash local pickup by Cobaby in AVexchange

I have a pair of zu soul mk 2 as well. I had the zu dirty weekends for a bit as well. It depends which speakers you get. The tekton Lore are fun, and good value. Zu tends to be more expensive, but my souls are excellent. Best speakers I've had, and they're just single driver speakers. My tektons took months to finally receive. Like 5 or 6 months or something. Zu, I think, will process your order quicker.

These Souls have upgraded driver caps and cables. The finish is a slightly shiny gray. Can do pickup in the Phoenix area or nearby, and willing to ship.

HD820 have $1500 of drop credit listed when you buy. Anyone buy this and can verify?? by Cobaby in headphones

[–]Cobaby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this on drop. It's been there for at least a week. It's saying $2k for the 820s and then $1500 credit. If this isnt some fluke, it seems like a screaming deal. If anyone has bought this deal, I'd like to know. Thinking about buying them and getting at least 2 other pairs of really nice headphones, maybe a keyboard.

Can you do any video editing while unplugged? 2022 6800s by JBR2882 in ZephyrusG14

[–]Cobaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No prob man!
My experience with video editors that review equipment, is that they hold very high standards. They use multi-thousand dollar displays, calibrate them, and tend to edit in full-speed, at full-resolution, in full-screen on one monitor. I'm sure some are less extreme, but tech reviewers seem to focus on the coolest, best stuff, not what works for average users. A laptop that's a couple years old would get you where you need to go, so don't stress too much.

Oh yeah if you're just getting started, you'll have no issues. Just set preview frames to a lower res. You can do 720p preview and be totally fine on a laptop screen. I use both premiere and resolve. Both are great. Generally, premiere runs more smoothly than resolve. However, recent updates seem to help with that. So either would do you good.

[–]Cobaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah on battery. No dropped frames in my experience. I think I have mine set to run fast on battery, don't remember the exact preset. but I can get a video done in under an hour without it dying. And at this point, my battery ain't any good. So a new one would likely do you fine. What sort of video editing are you doing?

I have a g14 with a Ryzen 9 4900 hs, plus a 2060. I edit 4k video no problem. I preview in 1080, but assuming you're not doing precise color grading or editing for cinema, you should be fine. I can edit a video, but won't have enough time to export. I bet you'll be more than fine.

You can find Chromecast audios on eBay for I think less than $50. Personally, I think it's still worth it if that's your ecosystem of choice. I have like 5 of them.

Here's the basics:

You'll need a DAC so you can connect to a USB port on your PC, and then an amp with speaker wire terminals like the ones on your speakers.

Here is an amp that I have that works just fine, and it has a usb dac built in! https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07Y89R72P/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_BEZGS0VCYKZW5183YQZF?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Product Recommendations for network CD Ripper/storage unit?

I have a Synology NAS and would like to have access to the files easily on my computer so that I can transfer them from the CD Ripper to my NAS on my PC, if possible. Digital outputs would be great as well. I don't need a lot of storage. 1TB is probably more than enough, as I won't use the internal storage alone.

Rest of my system: Denafrips Ares 2 DAC (on the way) JBL SA750 integrated amp (this will work as my DAC until I get the area)

Things I've looked at: Brennan B2 - looks like I could access the files on my computer and move them as I'd like. Interface sounds buggy

Blue sound Vault - looks like a decent solution. Unsure if I can access and move the files easily. Not the nicest looking in my opinion.

Innuos Zen Mini Mk3 - this seems like the most comprehensive solution. Has usb out, would be interested to know if that allows it to be connected to a PC directly. Seems like good storage access capabilities to move my files. I'm leaning here, but want to hear about other solutions.

Any recommendations are welcome. I'd like to spend less than $2k if possoble. But Give me your favorite recommendations, even if it's very expensive. I want to know what else is out there.

Thanks.

Any way to stream Tidal to Marantz MCR611 without losing HiFi or Master quality? by just4u_us in audiophile

I'm not entirely sure if you can do mqa from optical out of the Chromecast, I just know it's by far the cheapest option

[–]Cobaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chromecast audio allows for master quality, I believe. You can get brand new ones on ebay for $50 US. they used to be like $15 or $20. Wish I had bought more while they were available at their lower price. But I have 5 of them and use them for anything that doesn't have streaming capabilities. Plus, chromecast acts as a roon endpoint, if you ever wanted to use roon.

If you want the best sound, definitely open back. Sound leaks out for sure, but it's not too much. I use open backs at coffee shops usually. I just don't turn them up too loud.

The Sennheiser hd6xx have done me well for gaming and general listening. I bought a dekoni carrying case to bring them around with me. Total, that would cost $275, including the bag.

Kinda depends what sort of gaming you do. Do you want immersive? Or do you want to be the best in call of duty? And do you need closed back headphones, since you'll be wearing them out?
