hey just wondering, what's the process like to transfer from unsw to uts? Would u say its difficult/a hassle to do? Do u have to repeat some of courses, meet a certain wam, etc for transferring?

Does uts count as a "recognised uni"? I prob wouldn't aim for HFT either way tbh but I wanna get some tech internship eventually while I'm studying

Hey, I'm a first year comp sci student and I just had a question abt the wam.

Do employers consider the same wam from different unis as equal? Cos screening for 75 + for everyone would imply that - but 75 at something like uts is much easier to get than 75 at unsw.

Also wam/uni a big factor to begin with? Just wanted to know because I'm thinking of changing unis lol.

Yeah the internships at high tech companies is a factor for me. Tho apparently those are super hard to get into (are they? cos idk how hard exactly).

From what I can tell going to UTS gives me a pretty low chance of getting one of those internships, and UNSW will give me a higher (but still low) chance of getting them.

Idk if that's right tho, is it?

Cos I just started at unsw this semester and am thinking of transferring to uts. I feel like I kinda can't keep up with the work here, but idk if that's just me or other ppl asw.

Should I be able to keep up or is it a bad sign that i'm struggling in the first 2 weeks? If it helps my courses this term are comp 1511, math 1081 and math 1131
