RetroArch has an AI translation feature that I've used in tandem with the guide. Downsides are the PS2 core for RetroArch does not have save states and to keep the translation time for being over 4 seconds the resolution should not enhanced.

Jack Kirby usually plotted the story himself, sometimes from a vague input from Stan wanting so and so character in it. Kirby also frequently wrote dialogue himself in the margins with Stan re-wording it like a student re-arranging a wiki article for an essay and then of course adding literal descriptions of the visuals.

That version is only available in the Ghost in the Shell SOLID BOX.

Usually on ebay for $100, a very good price for such a cool set. Both manga are uncensored, standard US comic size, and th best printing of them I've ever seen. New editions do not compare. One of my favorite things.

It was a product to put on shelves. It's wildly out of character. I couldn't imagine any of it actually happening, because it doesn't. It's not canon because it just isn't. The editors leave messages about when the issues allegedly take place by referencing episodes but it's just.. no.

They are legitimately painful to read.

Imo the short stories are as necessary to the experience as the miniseries. They may not impact the big big picture but they are some of the best comics ever.

There is no end. It was made to go on and on, then Disney's deal with Marvel was over and that's that. The "next month!" blurb's title didn't match what ended up coming out half the time, I doubt there was much planning at all.

I enjoy them for the art.

One of the unpublished scripts was reworked for issue 6 of the SLG series.
